chapter 14

I hold Hugo up, and find a small pool of blood. not good. I feel again for a heartbeat and thankfully find one. small and steady. I call for Crystal. She rushes over. " oh I've seen this before. You'll probably need a sponser for this treatment." says Crystal. as if on cue, a small parcute comes falling down, finding its way on Hugo's stomach. I quickly open it up, and find a special Capital medicine. The card reads: ease this on Hugo. -D

I put it in crystal hands and let her work the magic by simply rubbing gently on Hugo's wound. "he's still passed out and will be for a few hours. But he'll be fine." Crystal replies. "Thank you." I say. Crystal gives a faint nod while Wiley and the boy from 12, Carson, come and help.We pick him up and go to one of the trains.

Carson's district partner, Rebecca, helps clean up his blood while Crystal keeps checking him, and making sure he's breathing. The boy from 8, Kyler, watches guard, along with Alex, Lilian( district 3, she actually came out of her daze and helped.) and Wiley. " I have an idea. Alex come with me." Wiley says, he is actually really smart. 20 minutes later, the train is running. Wiley got it to work. I smile to myself and go check it out. "How did you guys do that?" I ask Alex, while Wiley adjusts something. " I don't know, I just kept watch and helped him when he asked." he says with a small shrug. I go back to Hugo and find that he is awake. "Hugo!" I exclaim. " S'sup?" he croaks. " Rest Hugo." I tell him while his eyelids slowly shut down. We carrry him to a bedroom,where he should sleep soundly. Alex comes and keeps guard him while I sleep with Crystal at my side.

I woke up to a start while I hear the slight banging from the dining cart. I got up and picked up my knives from the dresser. 6 knives. I looked out the window. it was still night. around 3:55. I saw that Crystal was gone. I started off to the dinning cart when an aching came in my leg where I wounded from the bloodbath. Then I saw Crystal, all alone in the kitchen. " what are you doing?" I ask her. it looked like she's cooking. "well, I'm hungry so I'm making dinner." she says, chopping an onion. " at 4 in the morning?" I ask her. she turns around slowly and glares at me. then whips a knife at my head. But, I'm prepared. I duck and roll under a table by her and stab her in the foot. she screams and a trip her. I take her up by the front of her shirt. "Still making dinner?" I ask while placing the knife in my hand at her neck. she swallowed. then she kicked me in the knee and whipped her hand across my face. my hands flew up to my face out of shock, not of pain. she plucks the knife out of her foot and winces then pins me down. but, she left my left shoulder alone. if I wait, I can get right where it hurts. "wow, this was too easy. I mean, everyone in the alliance is already dead, except you and maybe Hugo. he's bleeding out though." she says. "why didn't you kill me in my sleep?" I ask her. "cause, I wanted a challenge." she says with a small shrug. a sound came from a different room and she turns her head. now. I think. I come up with a knife and get her in the stomach. a good oof! left her mouth as she fell to the ground. i kicked her, then threw her to the ground and picked her up again. I throw her on my bed. "here, bleed out here." I say. and lock the door. i pick up the knives and count them, still having 6, the same i started with. I run to Hugo's room where Alex is asleep and so is Hugo. luckily, she lied. Alex then woke up. "what's going on?" he asks,groggily. "well, Crystal just turned on me and will bleed out. she said she killed everyone so I came in and checked on you guys." I say and plop down on a chair.

"Oh, well, um, sorry?" he asks,unsure. "sorry, I just never pictured myself comforting someone for that particular reason." he says. At that moment, a canon went off. "well, that's probably Crystal." I say and get up. "I'm going to get everyone up and decide our next move. meet us in the kitchen."I say, and with that I walk away without another word. I get Wiley, Lilian and kyler. but, it looks like Crystal kept some of her word, cause the tributes from district 12 are dead.
