Trust goes both ways

Jyn's pov

We prepared to go to Jedha, I wore a green jacket with a very long scarf around my neck. Cassian had brought a blue winter coat and a gray backpack.

When he opened the door of the truck to drop his things, he was called by Draven, Cassian looked at me before going to our boss.

I looked up to see his dog just now, he was tied to the wall of the truck, he looked at me as if he was going to attack me, he began to growl at me. You think you scare me?

Having nothing to do, I picked up Cassian's bag to rummage through it, I checked if he had any lucky teddy bear or a picture of a woman half-nude. The only things I found were a few weapons, one of which I decided to keep.

Once he got back from his conversation with Draven, Cassian got into the truck and said, << I see you got to know Kaytoo >> by climbing into the truck I said << Charming >>. << He has trouble getting used to other people, he only knows me as his only master. >>

He put on a blue sleeveless jacket and sat down at the driver's seat while I sat down on the bench behind.

I waited before he started the engines. He turns his band to fix me << What are you doing with this? >> I noticed that I hadn't stowed the gun in my belt. << I know how to use it >>.

He stood up to approach me. << That's what I'm afraid of, give it to me >> He held out his hand, he really expected me to give it back. << You're never sure what can happen, you have to be forewarned >> he didn't understand why I said that. << That's not the point. He looked me in the eye, then turned to sit again. We could finally leave.

I heard Draven talking to me, I looked at him and got out of the vehicle.

I came in front of him, my back straight. << Forget what was said just now, there will be no extraction, you find him... You kill him >> it was all he told me, I had promised to follow his orders, I was not going to disobey him.

I turned my back to the truck. << I see you got to know Kaytoo >> I swept my blue jacket and sat down at the wheel to start, I looked into the rearview mirror, Jyn had a gun in her hand...
