Nancy knocked on the bedroom door and slowly made her way inside the dark room. The only light came from the screen of a laptop and a desk lamp. Roma sat at the large wooden desk over in the corner of the room with papers splashed about him; he preferred to be in the dark than well-lit places, so he usually worked with a minimal amount of light.
Nancy softly closed the door behind herself and made slow steps toward him.
"So, you're not coming to dinner?" she asked.
He stayed turned with his back facing her and didn't respond.
Nancy sighed. "Can't you just come down stairs? (name) seems as if she would really like to talk to you."
He let out an agitated breath and turned to her in his office chair as he asked, "How did you even figure out who she was?"
Nancy placed her fists on her hips as she stepped closer. "I should be asking you why you never told me about her!"
He shook his head as he faced his desk once again. "I can't stand that woman."
"Oh, she's not that bad."
"You didn't have to live with her," he said. "It's as if she gets life off of getting on my nerves."
"It's been years since you've last seen her. Don't you think she could have changed a bit?"
"What? No. What kind of suggestion is that?"
She sighed and wrapped one of her arms around his shoulders.
"Please?" she said as she sat in his lap.
He turned his head away from her and groaned. "Don't make me talk to her."
Nancy rubbed her cheek against his as she whined and kicked her feet back and forth. "Pretty please?"
"Could you not do that?"
"Could you please talk to your sister?"
"I really don't want to, though."
"But it would make me so happy if you did! You want to make me happy, right? I know you do, because you love me just as much as I love you." She kissed his cheek multiple times. "So, could you please, please talk to her? For me at the very least."
He huffed and rolled his eyes. "Fine. If she's still here, I guess I could go talk to her. Hopefully, she's left already, though."
"Don't say that!" Nancy said as she hopped up and grabbed his wrist to pull him up as well. "She sounded very excited to get to see you again!"
"Yes, I'm sure she did," he remarked to himself as Nancy dragged him out of the room.

You sat in the living room with your legs hung over the arm rest on the couch.
"You're still here!" Nancy bubbled. "I'm glad you stayed."
You peeked over the couch. "Oh, that was pretty fast," you said as you got up. "I wasn't expecting you to actually get him out to talk to me."
"Neither was I, but here we are," Roma said as he forced a smile on his face.
You chuckled as you glanced his way. "She must got you whipped."
"Don't make me regret this already."
"That's a lot of pressure, bro," you said and shook your head. "I don't think I can live up to that, man."
You shrugged and said, "I actually wasn't planning on still being here. I just found out I don't have a ride right now."
"What do you mean by that?"
