How Love Works

Matalim ko siyang tiningnan, "Tsss...jealous boyfriend, my ass!"

Humalakhak pa siya ng isang beses. A laugh that sounded so malicious and annoying at the same time. I shook my head and ran a hand through my hair.

Tsss...I am not a jealous boyfriend 'coz to start of, I am not Eura's boyfriend! Fuck!

Who the hell was that Axel anyway? Who was he to spoonfeed Eura in public? Who was he to wipe Eura's mouth clean? Who was he to do any of those?! A bestfriend? May bestfriend bang ganun ka-touchy? I don't think so!

"Chill! Bakit ba you're so galit? Nagkaganyan ka lang naman ng hinahanap ka sa classroom diba? Maybe...ah! Nakita mong may kasamang lalake yung babaeng lumabas kanina! Am I right?" she wiggled her eyebrows as she walks beside me.

Umirap ako. Nagalit nga ba akong may makitang lalaki siyang kasama? Hell yes! I mean...that's because I don't want her to be treated like some sort of a princess. For heaven's sake, she's my maid/slave! She's not a princess or a crystal to need too much care.

"Silence means yes! Pero...who was that girl anyway? Her face is familiar though. I think naging kaklase ko na siya in my previous school." sambit niya, nakalagay ang isang daliri sa labi na para bang pinag-iisipan niyang mabuti si Eura.

"I think you know her. Eura. Eura Alcantara is her name." ani ko.

"Ohh nice name. Sabi na nga ba at familiar nga siya!"

Umirap ako sa kanya, hindi na pinatulan ang sinabi. Why is this girl so noisy? Now I know why Kyle's always annoyed and bothered by this girl. Ngayon ko lang naramdaman kung anong klaseng buhay ang meron siya kasama ang babaeng ito. Tsk, I pity him.

"Well you know what I think about her..." aniya muli.

"Tss...I don't need your opinion. Cause opinions are not real. I prefer believing in facts, Blaire." sambit ko habang nakatingin sa aming dinadaanan.

"Oh okay then. Here's a fact, Mr. Constantine!" hinila niya ako sa palapulsuhan, stopping me from walking.

Matalim ko  siyang tiningnan. I don't know why this girl is so talkative today. Kanina, galit tapos ngayon parang hyper. Tsss, bipolar.

"Spill it out then. Ng makaalis na ako sa'yo." I said with a hint of irritation on my tone.

She was smiling like a Cheshire cat. Her eyes are telling me that I wouldn't like nor hate what she's gonna say.

Lumapit ang kanyang mukha sa aking tainga. Tumingkid siya para maabot ako.

Covering one hand to my ear, she whispered, "Fun fact: Bagay kayo."  tawa niya ng lumayo.

Nalaglag ang aking panga sa kanyang sinabi. It took me seconds to process what she just said. Later on, my eyes grew dark and large.

"What the hell?!"  I scowled at her. Si Blaire naman ay tumatawa lang habang nauna sa'kin maglakad, leaving me dumbfounded.

But really, what the heck did she just said? Ako at si Eura, bagay? How was that supposed to be a fact? Eura's not even my type! Never in my wildest dream did I think about dating her!

I tried to come up with a clever comeback for revenge. I smiled devilishly when I had thought of the most annoying she hates me starting of.

Humabol ako sa kanya sa paglalakad. She looked at me when I was beside her walking. She eyed me suspiciously. Later on, a smirk appeared on her face.
