The Pill

"Okay. Stop here." You told Jerome. You guys were at an abandoned field where Shiana told you to meet. You looked at Jerome and saw a look of shock on his face. You decided to ignore it and got out of the car, walking to where Shiana was. Jerome quickly got out of the car and followed you, still not talking.

     Looking around, you realized this place looked oddly familiar. You weren't going to lie, as you got older, your memory got worse. Sure, you remembered Jerome and the fun you guys had, but things like this, no way in hell did you remember this.

     While you were walking you heard a crunch. You looked down and realized you stepped on something. You bent down to retrieve it, and saw it was a peice of paper. A flyer maybe? When you read it, you dropped the paper, letting it flow in the wind. You looked at Jerome, jumped up, and hugged him.

     "J," You said. "We're.... we're at.....-" "Halys." He cut you off. Now you understood why Jerome was so quiet and shocked. He was back. Back to the place it had all started. The place he grew up. The place he was abused by his mother and her many, many, many lovers. The place where he murdered his mother, starting this whole crazy ride you had been on for so long.

     You took Jerome's hand and ran up to Shiana. "Why the hell are we here!?" You asked, well more like scream-asked. She smiled, like always. "I needed to bring you to a place that would mean something. A place that held emotion for you. And I can also see that you went against my orders and brought Jerome along." She paused and looked at you. "Lovely! I knew you would do that! Anyways, bringing you to a place that you guys were familiar with, will make the process so much easier." You and Jerome looked at each other. This woman must be a little bit looney. She had to be! Yet, you both still trusted her with such an important task.

    "So, what we are going to do is," she rummaged around her tools, pulling out a bottle of pills."you guys are gonna take these, and when you start to felt the effects, you'll go back." She smiled, again. Jerome gave her a weird look. "What are the effects. I might be old, lady, but I ain't stupid. You're druggin' us.

     "No i am not, Jerome.You'll start to feel everything go slow, you'll get dizzy, etc." Jerome laughed. "So we're gonna be high?" He asked. You giggled. Shiana laughed too. "I guess. Anyway, after about 30 minutes of that, you guys will be ready to go!" She smiled.

     You nodded, "Let's do it." She smiled, handing you both a pill. You both took the pill, sat down, and waited for the effects to start coming in.

After about 5 minutes, you began to laugh hysterically. You didn't know why until you realized, everything was in slow motion. You raised your arms, which would have normally took 2 seconds, actually took, what felt like 3 minutes. You looked at Jerome and saw him with his eyes wide open, and his normal grin plastered on his face. He tried to stand up, but quickly fell. You began to giggle, but stopped when his head shot up and he glared at you. After about 15 seconds, you both busted out laughing.

"You guys okay?" Somebody asked. You thought it was Shiana, but quickly realized it was a male voice. You looked up, and what you saw caused your jaw to drop. You turned to Jerome to see his face was the same. You looked back at the man and his group again, astonished. It couldn't be them. It just couldn't. They were dead. All of them were supposed to be dead!

"Y/N? Jerome?" The man asked again. "It's me, Ed." He said causing you and Jerome to, once again, look at each other with shocked faces.
