The sun was blazing something fierce today I thought
As I mended the broken fence, sweat droplets fell from my for my forehead
I heard distant talking from one of the younger ranch hands walking my way
Getting up from my crouched position ended up be more difficult than I though
"Awww my god damn back!!"
"You young fella come help me with this damn fence nearly threw out back trying to fix the damn thing!"
The kid stared for a good few seconds and had the audacity burst out laughing
"Hahahahah"
"What's so funny dummy never seen a man do hard work?"
The young man crouched and proceeded to fix the fence
"No sir, just never heard a 28 year old call themselves old"
"And complain about a back ache, you'd think a big 0'l man like you would be able to handle a little back pain instead of crying like a little girl"
"Shut up I'm not payin ya to yap" ugh! kids these days so disrespectful
Deciding it was about time I got something to eat I headed back to main house on the ranch
" yeah I heard Mitch hired a new bartender"
"Is it a girl?"
"I think so"
Walking into the the kitchen I hear Thomas and Evan my second cousins talking about some girl, typical
My brother Ray is making a sandwich in the corner
"Ray make me a sandwich to"
Acknowledging me he nods his head
"What you guys talking about"
Thomas answers
"Apparently their some new women in town just moved here"
Evan continues
" and a couple months ago she called Mitch and asked if he was still hiring at Grizzly Rose"
Mmmm new women? Barely anyone moves to this small town people here are more willing to get out then come in
I look over to Ray and he's as quiet as he always been. Rays never been much of a talker or shows much emotion since his heart was broken. You see it wasn't just one women who did it is was all the women.
Ray though that all his relationships were genuine, but really the girls just wanted his money that's why I never wanted in on his relationship
Me and Ray like to share women....
Don't know why really, guess cause we're so close and I'd always fall for the girls he liked and vice versa
I turned to my cousins and said
" I don't give a damn about the new girl in town she's probably like every gold digging whore in this stupid place"
"Probably ugly too"
With that said I turned around grabbed my sandwich and stomped to my room
I'm not letting my brother get hurt again!
I don't give a damn who this women thinks she is but she's not coming near me or my twin brother.
