Chapter 1 Pizza

Jerro Luis Lopez Smith has this classic bachelor bad boy image. He’s turning 31 next month but still no serious commitment na maipagmamalaki.

In all fairness, he’s not looking for one. Actually, he has no plan in committing himself with a one-girl-policy etcetera. He doesn’t like romance...but big YES to sex.

Yes, dahil maituturing siyang sex god ng mga naka-sexrelasyon niya. All he wanted is a beautiful girl lying naked in his king-size bed. Jerro is always discreet in choosing his girl. Kailangan maganda, mayaman just like himself (a little goldigger is okay as long as pasok sa standard niya), may alam (ofcourse, he doesn’t like his woman to be dumb, sino’ng may gusto ng bobo?), sexy and magaling sa kama. Just like his exes. And speaking of exes, ano’ng ginagawa ni Maxine sa labas ng conference room niya?

“Wait ma’am, you’re not allowed to enter the conference room. They’re in a meeting.” Wika ni Helen, ang assistant-slash-secretary niya.

Jerro is looking at the glass wall, kitang-kita sa labas ang pamumula ng mukha ni Maxine. Alam niyang galit ito.

“You have no idea how I wish to kill a human right now.” Lumalaki na ang ilong ni Maxine. Nagpupuyos ito sa galit. How he wish din na sana hindi ito papapasukin ni Helen. He hates scandals at lalo na kasama niya ang mga bigating stockholders ng enterprise.

Napakagat-labi siya nang patuluyin ni Helen si Maxine sa conference room.

“We need to talk.” Ani Maxine pagbungad sa pintuan.

“Can’t you see we’re in a middle of an important meeting?” Jerro said. All eyes are on them.

“I received your email last night. Why honey? Why are you breaking up on me...in an email?”

Yeah right. He was breaking up on her in an email. He just realize that they’re “relationship” was getting boring every day. They’ve been dating for a couple of months now. Nagiging domineering na si Maxine, and he doesn’t like that. He likes her woman to be submissive. And he realized, lagi silang nag-aaway sa maliliit na bagay. And that annoys him. That is why, he wrote a message on his email last night telling Maxine that it’s over between them.

She had been calling him early this morning. Hindi niya sinagot, instead he shut his phone off. And this scene is expected.

“Yeah, I’m breaking up on you. You can go on with your life now and me too...” Then he faced his mates “... so gentlemen, the report presented by –”

“Why?? What have I done wrong?” hysterical na si Maxine.

“You’re boring... Helen, can you assist Ms. Maxine here to go outside?”

“Yes sir” Hindi parin maipinta ang mukha ni Maxine. Alam niyang nagpupuyos na ito sa galit at kulang na lang ay sumabog na ito sa harap niya. bumuntong-hininga ito’t hinarap siya.

“No... hindi pa tayo tapos mag-usap..Jerro, how could you do this to me?!” At kinaladkad na siya ni Helen outside the conference room.

“So gentlemen, let’s continue...” A big smile covered on his face. Yes, at last he’s free again.

The meeting was adjourned at six in the evening. Dumiretso agad si Jerro sa bahay nila sa Blue Royale Subdivision sa Cavite. Mahaba-haba din ang biyahe dahil traffic. Usad pagong ang trapiko. By seven thirty, nasa garahe na siya.

Sinalubong agad siya ni Tris, his baby sister.

“Kuya!! It’s good to see you. I thought doon ka sa condo mo uuwi.” Then Tris hugged him tightly.

“Of course it’s a Friday, right? Where else could I be?”

“One month ka ng hindi nakakauwi dito noh. Kung hindi pa kayo nagbreak ni Maxine, siguro ay hindi ka pa uuwi dito.”
