Beep.. Beep.. Beep...

I pried my eyes open upon hearing the most annoying sound coming from Arthur's alarm clock. I felt as his heavy arm moved over me to reach for his phone. I simply groaned to let him know it woke me also.

"Sorry, I forgot to turn them off I guess." He mumbled quietly.

"What.. time?" I exhaled out as I stretched my back out as he pulled his phone off the charger and sat back on his side of the bed.

"It's eight," he replied, "I guess I'll head out to get breakfast so what do you want?"

I pushed myself up and pressed my lips together as my eyes went back to their natural position and shut, "I dunno, maybe just a frappe or something of that sort to be honest... Pancakes? Surprise me." I spoke, wondering what I was hungry for at this hour.

"I'll surprise you by bringing home fireworks." He murmured as he rolled out of bed and headed towards the bathroom to wash up.

After laying in place for another minute with my head back and my eyes shut, I heard him exiting the bathroom again, "I'll be back in a little, love you," he spoke.

"Mkay, love you too." I replied tiredly.

I opened my eyes back up and reached over for my phone on the table and scrolled through my notifications.

A few alerts from my games telling me to go play them again, and an update from wattpad telling me that the best author ever @kirkland_had updated one of her stories, finally... I swear, the last time she updated, Obama was still president. ;•)

Anyways, after scrolling through some memes on instagram I decided to get out finally and be productive before Arthur returned with the food.

I headed to the bathroom and pulled out my toothbrush and began brushing when suddenly I received a text message from an unknown number.

Them: Hello?

I quickly replied back.

Me: Yo yo bro

Them: ________ _________?

For a short moment I felt my heart stop, why does this random person know my number? I thought it over for a moment but then calmed back down, it was probably one of my friends who got a new number to tell me even though I'll probably never text them back.

Me: Yes, who this?

Them: Hi, this is Jamie, Elizabeth gave me your number. Sorry if it's early, but she said you'd be picking me up later so I was texting you to tell you my address. It's ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~"

I spat out the toothpaste and raised a brow as I stared at my phone.

Oh right. That's today.

Me: Okay cool thanks, what time?

Jamie: Well I'm in school right now, but you can pick me up at the middle school at three."

Me: I thought you were in high school?

Jamie: I am, but the bus stops there after it picks me up.

Me: Okay cool, will do. Text me the middle school's name and I'll be there at 3 then."

I put my phone back down and finished washing up before exiting and heading down to the living room where I sat on the couch as I awaited my lovely food.

On the couch, I reached back for my phone once again to take a quick glance at the time, only two minutes had really passed since Jamie messaged me. My eyes felt droopy as I stretched out on the couch and reached for the remote. Why was I so tired anyways? I sleep a lot as it is.
