DangerDays!
Frank and Gerard sat in the living room of Donna way's house. Frank was tense, the woman had always scared the shit out of him, with her croaky voice and the way she looked at everyone. He felt like he would say the wrong thing and she'd have his head on a platter in seconds. Thinking of that made Frank gulp, and Gerard smirked. He was always amused on how fast he could go from cocky to terrified in seconds, all because his mother.
Gerard knew his mom, of course he did, she wasn't so bad, she wasn't scary or threatening at all, matter of fact she was quite the opposite, she was like the nice old lady down the street. She was too sweet for her own good though, and sometimes Gerard had to make decisions for her, cause she always wanted to do 'the right thing' but his mom wasn't innocent, of course she wasn't.
She was mean when she had to be, she punched the shit out of a man once for attempting to steal her purse and then walked off. That was just the first time Gerard had caught her actually fighting, but it wasn't the last. She definitely could kick some ass, but she was as sweet as ever. Frank should know this by now, I mean, he has known her for more than 6 years. All throughout high school and all. Gerard cringed internally, he hated high school, couldn't stand it, it was absolutely unnessary, he had enough credits to graduate in sophomore year, but his mother wanted him to have the full experience.
Frank hadn't seen Gerard in over 3 months, he was trying to get his place together and unpack his stuff, after he was settling, he decided to see Gerard, since it was a week before his birthday, and he knew he wouldn't be around to wish him a happy birthday. Gerard was grateful though, he thought Frankie had forgotten about him, but actually the complete opposite. Gee finally just stood up and held out a hand to Frank and pulled him up the stairs. The both of them kind of nervous, Gerard had a huge undenying crush on Frank,
He felt like he was a prepubescent teenager with a stupid crush, which made him cringe for the second time today. He wanted to ask something of Frank but he knew it would only be a little weird to ask this, so he wanted to start it out slow, and cautious, but he was confident in himself, he knew he could tell him. . . just not in the correct way.
They sat down on the bed facing each other and Frank took a long look at Gee's room, seeing it was the same as before, except he hung some Marilyn Manson posters up. He took a glance at Gerard's art space and looked at his desk. It was filled with tiny splatters of paint and marker streaks, there was two cups filled with pencils and paintbrushes. He smiled, remembering how good Gerard was at creating art, he knew what he was capable of and his drawings had always made Frank happy.
"You still Draw?" Frank pointed to the desk and Gee laughed,
"Of course, never stopped." He told him, Frank huffed in amusement, He got up and walked over to the desk.
"May I?" He asked, pointing to the notebook on one of the shelves. Gee nodded quickly, giving him a look that told Frank he was stupid for asking, he was always polite with Gerard, he didn't know why, he just was, if this was someone else, he would've just went through their shit because, why not?
He flipped through the notebook, occasionally smiling at the creations, and then he came across one picture and he looked at the person closely, he recognized the tattoos and the piercing, he looked at the chiselled features and suddenly realized, it was him, drawn so beautifully and created with such delicacy that he almost choked, he lifted the page to Gee and he blushed.
