The hours seemed to melt together as they went by, both Hercules and Lafayette were eager to talk to each other alone on their date. But as they both sat in their hotel rooms there was nervousness in the air.
Alex was sitting on one of the beds in Lafayette's room, as Lafayette sat on the floor, leaning against the side of the bed. Alexander's fingers moved almost melodically as he was braiding the French fry's hair. Lafayette was blabbering on about something, Alexander didn't really know what about. Occasionally he heard names, Hercules, John, even his own name, but he couldn't say focused long enough to hear the details. Still, over Lafayette's mess of hair he could see his hands moving frantically as he spoke.
"You sure do move your hands a lot when you speak," Alexander mumbled to himself absentmindedly, not even noticing that he had said it out loud.
"At least I don't talk nonstop," Lafayette smirked as Hamilton reached over and flipped him off. "Are you almost done?"
"You can't rush perfection, Laffy Taffy," Alexander snickered, slightly pulling at Lafayette's hair as he braided it. Lafayette squirmed, growing impatient. "Sit still."
"Hurry up," Alex tied the last thin braid, moving his hands to fully look at Lafayette's hair. It was a mess of small braids, but still, it looked good. "Is it done?"
"Mhm," Alex hummed, pulling Lafayette towards the bathroom. Lafayette stared at himself in the mirror.
"Does it look okay? Will he like it?" Lafayette turned to Alex, who smiled at his nervous expression.
"He'll love it," Alex reassured. "Only an hour left Laf, what do we do now?"
Lafayette took a hesitant glance at the small bag on the bathroom counter, debating the question he wanted to ask. He decided to grab it, turning to Alexander as he did so.
"Alex, mon ami, can I ask you a question?"
"I don't see why not," Alex shrugged.
"How does Hercules feel about-" Lafayette paused, nervous Alex might judge him. He tried to push the fear away as he slowly unzipped the small bag. "-Makeup?"
Alex grinned, taking the bag from Lafayette, spilling it's contents on the counter. "He thinks it's beautiful, especially on guys. And my guess is, he'll love it even more on you," Lafayette's face went crimson as he watched Alex look at the different assortment of colors displayed in front of him. After a few minutes of looking at it, Alexander turned to look at Lafayette.
"Close your eyes."
"Sûrement pas!" Lafayette stepped away from Alex, who apparently wasn't taking no for an answer as he grabbed Lafayette's arm and dragged him close.
"Trust me," Alexander grinned, a glint of mischief in his eyes. "This is going to be great."
"Dieu aide moi."
Sûrement pas ~ Hell no
