Lafayette woke up to find himself wrapped in strong arms, those arms belonging to Hercules. The sight of sleeping Hercules made Lafayette smile, he was adorable.
The con however, was that his grip was tight, making it hard for Lafayette to break free. Once he found a way to pry Hercules fingers off of him, while trying not to wake the man, he stood, taking a second to just stare at Hercules. He was well aware that watching someone sleep was damn creepy, but he didn't care. Hercules was like a giant teddy bear.
After Lafayette had his fill of watching Hercules he decided it was time to go back to his own room, to get ready.
He quietly shut the door behind him as he stepped into the hallway, heading towards his room.
Lafayette's eyes widened when he was spun around to face Thomas Jefferson, whom had the usual smirk plastered to his face. Thomas had a hand on Lafayette's shoulder, which Lafayette ripped off, giving Thomas a disgusted look.
"Oh, don't be like that. I just want to have a little chat," Thomas claimed, crossing his arms.
"And why would I want to talk to you?" Lafayette questioned, his disgusted look not ceasing.
"All I wanted to point out was that I just saw you come out of Hercules' room. I find that amusing."
"Amusing?" Lafayette crosses his own arms, which was undoubtedly creepy, the way his stance mirrored Jefferson's
"Well, I'm just saying. It's a little funny that Hercules would try to start anything with you. I mean, we'll only be here for another four days," Lafayette looked down. He was determined not to let any emotions show in front of a dick like Jefferson. "Oh, did I upset you? I'm sorry."
Lafayette squeezed his eyes shut and clenched his fists, resisting the urge to punch Thomas. "I refused to sink to your level," He took a deep breath and turned around, beginning to walk away.
"That's it, you're just going to ignore me, even though I have a good point?"
Lafayette didn't spare him a glance.
"Oui." He slammed the door behind him as he practically ran into his room.
He went to the bathroom, looking at himself in the mirror. He hated that he let someone like Thomas get to him. But though he hated to, he had to admit, Thomas was right.
Lafayette ran a hand through his curls, trying to gather his thoughts.
He sat down on the tiled floor of the bathroom, soaking in the silence. A silence that didn't last very long.
A knock at the door echoed through the room and Lafayette groaned.
"Laf!" Peggy's cheery voice rang out. "Wake up Laf!" After a few knocks Lafayette decided it was best not to ignore the girl, who apparently wasn't going to leave.
He swung the door open and rested his head on it. "Bonjour," his tone was less than cheery.
Peggy's smiling face fell as soon as she caught sight of Lafayette. "What's wrong?" She asked immediately, pushing past Lafayette, inviting herself into the room.
"Nothing Peggy."
"'Nothing Peggy', oh please. You look like hell, what's up?" Lafayette rolled his eyes. First Jefferson, now he had to deal with Peggy. Sure, Peggy was cool and all, but she sure wasn't going to leave him alone.
"I talked to Jefferson," Peggy's expression made it look like she had seen a ghost.
"Why on earth would you ever talk to that scumbag?" She seemed semi-angry with him. Well, she seemed really angry with him, but it was suppressed.
"It wasn't intentional. He just told me something I already knew," Peggy gave him a look, silently asking him to continue. "Well he told me that I was an idiot for having any kind of relationship with Hercules, because well-" He tried his hardest, but he couldn't prevent the tears pricking at his eyes. "You're going back to America soon, really soon."
Peggy pulled him down for a hug, which knocked the wind out of him.
"Do you think I could be alone?" He asked. She responded with a nod, stopping before she got out of the door.
"Are you gonna be okay?" She questioned.
"Oui oui," Lafayette waved her off. He almost regretted it after. Her presence was comforting, but he did need to be alone, to think about what the hell was going to happen.
He was exhausted, which took its toll on him. Soon he was asleep again. Not a peaceful one this time, it was restless, worried.
But Lafayette needed it, so he slept, letting all of his thoughts leave as sleep washed over him.
A/N: I'm actually in a really good mood tonight, which doesn't happen often, so I took the opportunity to write a chapter. Side note, it's 1:50 am and I have school tomorrow. If you couldn't tell I make great life decisions.
