8:00pm

A slow howl echoed through the woods as Amy and Kirby step out of the old metallic bus. Their feet sink into the deep snow and crunch with every step they take. Amy puts on her backpack and pulls her phone out of her coat pocket. No text messages. She places the phone back into her pocket and proceeds to follow Kirby down the snowy path. A dark forrest surrounds them, with the leaves of the tall trees blocking the sky from their view. After walking a short distance, Kirby and Amy stop in front of a rusty, colossal gate that seems to be locked. Pushing it doesn't work as when they try, it doesn't move an inch. Kirby shrugs her shoulders and places her left foot onto one of the bars of the gate, she then takes a secure grip of another bar with her hand and pulls herself up. On reaching the top, Kirby stops and looks back down at Amy, who is straining her neck just to look up. Without saying anything, Amy shakes her head.

"C'mon!" Kirby says, stretching her right leg over the top. "You have to at least try."

Amy crosses her arms and raises an eyebrow. The two stare at each other for a while until Amy finally gives in and begins to climb the gate. Kirby smiles and climbs down the other side, then looks up at Amy who is now at the top. Amy's tight grip with her shaky hands makes the whole gate wobble.

"Don't look down, don't look down." She whispers to herself, tightly closing her eyes.

"You've got this Amy, now all you have to do is climb over the top." Kirby shouts.

Still with her eyes closed, Amy nods and pulls one leg over. She is now sat on the gate as if it's a horse. Taking a deep breath, Amy raises her other leg over the gate, however her laces get caught on the top of the gate and tangle around one of the bars. Amy starts to panic and flails her arms off the gate and flips upside down with one leg attached the gate. Kirby's jaw drops as Amy lets out a terrified scream. A slight ripping sound tingles in both of their ears. Instantly, Kirby leaps underneath Amy and holds out her arms. Before Amy can realise what's about to happen, her laces rip. The support that was once holding her up is no more and Amy comes plummeting down to the ground, landing straight into Kirby's arms. The impact of Amy's body knocks over Kirby and the two lie on the floor, both laughing and shaking. They pull each other up and continue down the snowy path to the cable car station.

8:15pm

Over at the cable car station sits a lonely Lewis, awaiting his best friend Max. The station is small and open, with the only inside area being a port-a-potty. Because of this, Lewis' body feels like ice with the only warmth he's getting coming from his breath. Beside him sits a map of the mountain that him and his friends will be staying on. However Lewis is unable to read this as it's covered with graffiti telling him to 'beware'. To his left, sits the dark, silent woods. Cold and bored, Lewis feels his body start to soften and his eyes start to close. A small shake from the bushes however, immediately awakes him as he finds himself standing up out of his seat facing the bush. He squats down and picks up a stone to throw at the bush, when he hears the shaking again. Quickly, he stands up and throws the stone straight at the bushes. The shaking stops. Slowly he walks over to take a closer look. Peering into the bush he sees a dark figure. Lewis' eyes widen.

"RAHH!!" screams a mystery voice.

Lewis squeals like a little girl and runs back to his bench. Out from the bushes steps a laughing Max.

"You should've seen the look on your face!" Max laughs, grabbing Lewis by the shoulder.

Lewis shakes his arm off. "That wasn't funny! You shouldn't scare someone like that in the woods!" he says.

The two start bickering and don't even notice Amy and Kirby walking up behind them. The two girls cross there arms and cough. Max slowly turns his head and smiles, pulling Amy and Kirby into a big hug. Lewis stands and hugs Amy.
