My Best Friend

Chapter 1

Lapis pov
Hello there my name is lapis lazuli and I'm 16 years old and I'm in my second year of high school. I have blue hair and with my blue eyes. I have 3 great friends Amethyst the party animal, Pearl the one who acts like our mother, and Garnet the quiet one. Also I have a girlfriend her name is Jasper everyone sees her as the school bully but I can see a nice side to her. Well anyway I'm so excited I get to see my best friend in the hole world. Her name is peridot and we have been friends as long as I can remember. Unfortunately she had to move away when we were in middle school but we still keep in touch. She told me that she would come back to beach city and be staying with me until she graduated high school. Yay!! I can't wait I'm going to pick her up later with my mom so yeah. My parents are okay with Peridot staying with us they really like her of what they remember. All I can remember of her that she has blonde hair, green eyes, is a big nerd and was a little bit taller than me. I wonder what she looks like now.

I then walk down stairs to go fine my mom to see what she was doing. I found my mom sitting down on the couch and playing candy crush. I decided to try to scare her I slowly try to sneak up and then

Mom- lapis sweetheart your aren't going to scare me." She then looked at me and gave me a little smirk.

Lapis- h-how did you know I was there?

Mom- your just like your father always trying to scare me also try walking more quiet sweetie." Then she started to giggle a little.

Lapis- hmph" I started to blush a little

Mom- now what are you here for I know you didn't just come to see if you could scare me.

Lapis- oh yeah is time to go get Peridot yet?

Mom- no not yet

Lapis- aww when are we going then

Mom- hehe ever since Peridot told you she was coming back for the school and that she was going to stay with us you have been very impatient.

Lapis- well yeah but its been so long since I seen her, I'm just dying to see her again.

Mom- I know lapis I miss her too now go to your room and I'll call you when we are going to get Peridot.

Lapis- uhh ok fine.

I then went to my room to wait until we go pickup Peridot. But what can I do while I'm waiting. I could go on social media or read a book. Maybe I should just watch some tv I then turn on the tv and put it on some random show I never heard of. But while I watching the tv I keep looking at the clock. Back and fourth until I gave up and fell backwards on my bed.

Lapis- why can't time go any faster!! Maybe I should just take a nap."I then started to close my eyes. Then I slowly fell asleep.

Time skip

Mom- lapis come on its time to go!!

I then started to wake up. Uh why did mom wake me up. I'm just going back to sleep. I then her footsteps coming from the stairs. I then looked over and saw my mom standing.

Mom- come on lapis its time to go.

Lapis- uh two more minutes.

Mom- well then I guess you don't want go pick up Peridot then.

Lapis- no wait I'm up!

Mom- ok then get ready.

I then got my clothes and place it on my bed. I then began to stare at my mom to give her the idea to leave.

Mom- what?

Lapis- can you go mom I'm going to change.

Mom- what lapis I already know what you look and what you got its like you don't know who has been changing you cause I'm sure it wasn't your father.

Lapis-please mom

Mom- hmph fine but I was the one changing you.

Lapis- ok mom

I then close the door and then started to change. When I was done I went down so we can finally go get Peridot from the airport.

Mom- you ready now

Lapis- yep. Now let's go get Peridot!

Then me and my mom went to the car and headed for the airport. I hope there no traffic on the way.

Lapis- so mom what do you think Peridot like now

Mom- I don't know sweetie I guess will find out when we see her.

I wonder if she still the nerdy and sweet Peridot I remember. Or if she even looks the same. Wait how will we know if it's peridot and not some other person. I guess will have to fine out when we get there.

It been an 30 minutes and now where finally here at the airport. Then we went to park the car and it took a while. But then I felt something vibrate and I noticed it was my phone it was Peridot.

Peri- hey lap were are you guys I been waiting for a while now.

Lap- don't worry where here

Peri- k cool

Yes we finally found parking. I then ran inside of the airport to fine Peridot but my mom was lagging behind.

Mom- lapis wait! You don't even know what Peridot looks like.

But I just keep running around to go find Peridot.

Lapis- are you peridot no

Next person.

Lapis- ar- no your not peridot.

Uh we're could she be.

Mom- lapis there you are now come on" she then grab my hand and started to take me to the seats.

Lapis- mom why are we here.

Mom-look over there

I then look where my mom was pointing at and I saw a girl with spiky blonde hair, green eyes, freckles and round glasses headed toward us. Is that peridot she looks cute.

Lapis- P-peridot

Peridot- hi Lapis long time no see hehe.
