          When we arrived the palace guards immediately let us in. I jumped off my horse and handed it to once of the palace guards. I headed inside with Pa Shil trailing behind me. The Queen's maid escorted us inside her room as I commanded him to check on our horses. He nodded and scurried away as I went in to meet the queen. As I entered the queen smiled at me. "My Queen." I bowed down to her. "Ah,my child. You have something urgent to discuss with me? What is it,my child?" The queen pressed on. "Master Park Young Shil went to my house earlier this week asking for something unusual from my family." The Queen narrowed her eyes. "What does it that he want?" I sighed. "He wants...Young Master Ban Ryu, his adopted son, to marry me. My Queen,he wants an heir to the Park family and I know it's for something else." "What is it that you are thinking of?" I sighed for the umpteenth time. "He wants to have their bloodline continue. And I also know that he is planning to do something against you but I don't know what he's planning,my Queen." I bowed down. "It's okay.I will seek to nullify this engagement the best I can. For now act like nothing happened and rest,my child." I nodded and left the room to go to Okta. I asked one of the maids to call Pa Shil. Pa Shil arrived minutes later with our horses. I climbed on and headed to the stables to return them. "Pa Shil tend to the horses. I shall go somewhere tonight to meet with some people I know." He nodded and  left with the horses. I walked to my room and changed into my purple hanbok. I placed the hairpiece the Queen gave me on my 16th birthday. It was made of gold and had diamonds on it for the design. I walked out of my house greeting some of our maids before going straight to Okta. 

           As I arrived at Okta the guards outside quickly let me in. I was about to get a drink when I heard a familiar voice behind me. "And we meet again,miss. I think this is fate that brought us together. Don't you think?" I looked back and see him with a flirtatious smirk his face. "I don't believe in fate but I do believe in rejection. So if you excuse me." I see his friends laugh at him as I walk away but he grabs my arm pulling me into his embrace. "And I also believe that men should escort young ladies inside." I decided not to do anything since I was too lazy and it felt good being with my best friend again even if he didn't know it was me.When we entered there were squeals from the ladies and whistles from the men inside the building. A girl from the crowd squeals. I see Ban Ryu scowl. "Young master Ban Ryu has the good looks and he's good in everything!! He's far better than Young master Soo Ho!That must be Young Master Soo Ho's new girl!" Another girl squeals. "Aish. Come on let's go. I don't want to see his ugly face anymore." I quickly remove his arm from me and walked away from him. "Ha! Your girl wouldn't even go with you! Pathetic." Ban Ryu laughed as Soo Ho was being held back by his friends. "Aish. Let me go!! I wanna give him a lesson." I look back. "If you both are going to do this. Please leave me out of it." I walk into a room with a man who seems to be sleeping. I was about to go out when he spoke. "Who are you?" I look back and see him looking at me. 'He seems familiar. Could it be?' "Ji Dwi is that really you?" He looks at me in weirdly. "Who are you?" He glares at me. "You really don't remember me? Ouch, as your best friend I feel offended." He looks at me trying to find out who I am. "(Y/n) is that you? Look at how tall you are already! You used to be so short!" I glare at him. "Aish. I was still a kid that time okay? How have you been?" "I can't seem to sleep these days." I nod and sit down in front of him. "Do you want me to sing you to sleep?" He nods. Once we were out I was lead to the stage to sing. Everybody gathered around and I mean everybody. Soo Ho and Ban Ryu with their group of friends were upfront. I took a deep breath and sang with all of my emotions flowing freely.

           I look around and see everyone clapping and smiling. I bowed and left the stage. I was about to go out when I was held back by someone who I immediately jabbed in the rib with my elbow. "Aish. Your Young master Soo Ho's girl aren't you??Too bad, your going to be mine." I see one of Ban Ryu's friends who looked drunk. "Get you hands off of me! Yah!!" I kicked him as he tumbled to the ground. "Never mess with me." I glare at him and went home. I asked for the maids to prepare a bath for me and washed my body. I went straight to bed feeling happy.
