I couldn't believe that (Y/N) just got out of high school. I used to see her almost everyday and it just kinda stopped after I graduated and since Alexander disproves of my well-being. Oh well, at least I can admire her from afar, like I have for years...I decided to tighten my purple tie and walks past her office and looked in her window. She wasn't in there, where did she go...? I looked around the hall and didn't see her but heard laughing from somewhere. I decided to investigate and creep down the hall. I didn't turn down the hall to see who it was so I just listened to their conversation, totally not stalking them or anything...

It was my lunch break and I had just found a good stopping point on my first document about the effects of the battle in Yorktown 1789 to present day.
I wasn't to hungry so I decided I'll just snack on things today. So, with my time I decided to look for some old friends. I walked down the hall and the first person I saw was my best friend John. He was making copies of something and was turned away so I walked quietly down the hall and peaked over his shoulder. "Boo!" I said quickly after turning in front of him. He squeaked and held his chest, "(Y/N)! You scared me!" John replied now laughing. I smile and put a hand on his back, "So how are things with Alexander?" He looked confused which I knew would happen, "What do you mean...?" He asked with that confused look on his face and I shook my head. "Nothing, nothing..." I smiled in response. He shrugged it off, not understanding and good thing too. I knew Alexander liked John and he told me not to tell him since he is my best friend, so being the good sibling I am, I don't. We talk about how work has been for our first day, and he talk about people around the offices.
Thomas' P.O.V:

I finally built the courage to look around the corner and saw...John Laurens with his arm around (Y/N)?! Oh no, I knew they where friends in high school but this can't fly.
I walked down the hall and confronted both of them. John looked at me with a small smile and a wave, "Hi Thomas..." he said not to enthusiastically. I grew closer to (Y/N) and smiled back, "Hey." I looked at (Y/N), she was looking to the ground a little red faced, where they talking about me before I showed up...? I shrugged it off in my head and wrapped my arm around her. She was about a foot shorter than me, dang I never noticed how much shorter she really was than me. But she was cute. Her face looked like it became hot and grew even more red, I smiled in response. She looked up at me and began to finally speak, "Hey um...my birthday is next week and I'm having an party at my house. It would really be a pleasure if you came." I smiling nodded, "Of corse I will, I wouldn't miss it for the world."
