Danny 3 Tears

George's POV

I smile down at him.

He's so small.

He's so innocent.

He giggles, playing with the tiny

puppy in the shelter's floor.

He's so adorable.
The pup was okay, too, I guess.

"Georgeyyyy," Danny squeals. "He's so cute!"

I roll my eyes, not understanding his fascination. "Sure he is, Dan-Dan."

The shelter worker shakes the chain link fence again behind us. "Come on, we're closing up soon."

Danny sighs, sounding like he's legit about to cry.

I reach down for his hand as he looks up at me with sad eyes.

"Coke on, Dan-Dan. No one is gonna take the pup, so you have nothing to worry about."

He sticks his bottom lip out and leans down, kissing the puppy's head one last time before taking my hand.

I watch him sleeping.

He's passed out after recording songs for the past three hours straight.

He's adorably exhausted, hugging the couch pillows and snoring softly under his breath.

"Dammit," I groan, throwing on my hoodie and grabbing my car keys.

"He's gone!"

I jump, my snore cracking me awake in the rolling chair as I fall to the ground.

"What," I ask, watching as Danny's eyes become waterfalls.

"The puppy," he cries. "He's gone! Someone took him and now he's gone."

"Someone adopted him. He's got a good home now, Dan-Dans. Chill," he tell him, standing to my feet.

He sighs, trying to calm his tears.

"Come here," I say, sitting down on the couch.

He falls into my arms, whimpering into my chest.
I run my fingers through his hair and kiss his head.

"It'll be okay, Dan-Dan," I say reassuringly.

He just sniffles in response like the innocent (almost) child he is.

"I have something for you," I smile down at him.

Holding his hands, I drag him to my house.

"Come on," I laugh.

He wipes his wet eyes as I open the door.

The puppy pounces on Danny, making him fall onto the floor.

"George," he screams, kissing the puppy. "I love you so much!"

I laugh.

He named the dog Louie.
