Fated Farewell - Takaki Yuya X OC

Title: Fated Farewell

Author’s Note:I don’t own Yuya nor Yabu.

“The day I first met you, I know it was you”

“Yuya. Wait for me! Yuya!” she screamed while the boy is running away from her.

“Just hurry up!” he uttered back.

He heard someone is crying behind his back. He froze for a second knowing that it was her who has crying in that moment. He saw her there, lying on the road with wounds over her hands and legs.

“Come on. Stop crying. Sorry.” He uttered in small voice as he wiped her tears using his handkerchief and wrapped a dry towel around her bleeding leg.

He knows that it would be painful for her to walk and it was his fault anyway for leaving her behind. He carried her in his back as they’re heading home from school.

“What happened to you Reika?” her mom asked to her wounded daughter.

“Sorry. It was fault. I was running really fast and she couldn’t catch up with me and unfortunately she fell.” The boy apologized. He was sweating real hard because he knew that Reika’s mom would be very angry to him.

“Kids these days. Okay apology accepted. Don’t do that again, Yuya. It’s getting late, you should go home.”

-----10 years later------

“Yuya. Let’s go to the festival later tonight. Okay? I’ll wait for you at the park at six. Don’t be late.” She told the lad in cheerful voice. Yuya on the otherhand, is blushing. Reika was his childhood friend anyway, and she is his bestfriend. He can’t deny that he finds her cute and bubbly.

Reika was standing at the park for almost ten minutes and Yuya still doesn’t show up.

“Mou. You’re late.” She mumbled

“Sorry. I fell asleep and just woke up.” He caressed her hair but then he finds it awkward so he messed it a little.

“Na. You’re late and you’re messing my hair.” She gave him a girly punch on his chest.

----5 years later------

That was their last day in university. Yuya was about to confess his feelings to her but instead he received an invitation from her.

“What’s this” Yuya asked in hesitant voice.

“W-….I’m getting married, Yuya.” She replied back without looking in his eyes.

“Marrie..d.. to who?”

“Reika. I was looking for you all the time.” A boy suddenly got in their way. But then, he shoved back as he saw the both of them having a private conversation. He respects their privacy after all.

“Yuya.. Kota and I are getting married soon. Please come, okay?”She replied back after Kota interrupted their conversation earlier.

“Sure. I’m going.” He answered back in I’mgoingtocrymanner

February 23rd

That was the day for Kota and Rei’s wedding ceremony.

Kota was their college professor, so basically he’s way older than them. Yuya find himself wearing a suit. Everything looks perfect….well, except for his feelings. He wanted to turn back the time, but its impossible to do it. He’s practically hopeless.

He arrived at the wedding hall….late.

“You’re late again, huh?” a familiar voice came to approached him.

“Reika…wow. You looked great in your dress.” Yuya tried to control his emotions. In fact, he wanted to see her in a wedding dress andwalk in the wedding aisle……with him.

They both know that this will be the last time they will see each other as Yuya decided to continue his master’s degree in England.

“So..this is goodbye for now?” the lady asked him wearing a cheerless face.

“ Yeah. Thanks. Thank you for being part of my life. I wish you the best.” Yuya walked away from him.
