Two weeks. Two weeks ago Lauren woke up and she's is slowly starting to really come through. Her speech is majorly slurred but the doctors said with time and speech therapy it should be almost as good as new.

Almost. That's the word that haunted over all of our heads probably even more Laurens.

Will she be able to sing again? Will she be able to ever really talk to an understandable level? We were all full of questions that simply could not be answered.

Along with the speech problem, Lauren still has yet to be able to move her left arm and left leg since the stroke took place in that side of her Brain.

The doctor is hoping that with loads of therapy she'll gain mobility at least 50% which I guess is better than 0%.

Right now I was getting ready to go to the hospital for Laurens next therapy session then her speech session. I wasn't trying to impress anyone so I just threw on some high waisted jeans and Laurens sweatshirt with white converse.

I made my way downstairs and grabbed a banana.

"Camila can I talk to you for a second." My mom said sitting at the dinning room table.

"I guess." I took as seat across from her.

"Look I know what's happening with Lauren is very serious and scary." I just nodded.

"I get that you want to be there with her but you also need to focus on yourself and school."

"Mom I've got this. I finished all my homework. I appreciate you worrying about me but I promised Lauren I was going to be there every step in the way and that's what I plan on doing. I love you but I got to go." I got up and grabbed the door handle.

"I love you too." My mom said.

Lauren was now sitting on one of those stationary bikes buts more of a seat. I don't have a clue what it's called. They have wrapped her left arm and left leg to the handle and pedal while her other side does the work hoping that the motion will help her brain recover and remember the movements.

It also helps keep the blood flowing hoping to avoid from blood clots and other medical issues.

"You're doing great Lauren keep going." Sherri the therapist said writing some stuff down on a paper in a Manila folder.

Lauren rolled her eyes and kept going.

I could tell she was getting frustrated so I put my hand on her shoulder.

"It's okay, you'll get it eventually." I said kissing her cheek. She didn't respond but I didn't expect her to.

After a while of the bike now was the time for the massage part which I know Lauren lives massages, she always cries at this part because well... she can't feel it.

She laid  down and first sherri bent her leg multiple times getting her blood flowing and getting rid of the lactic acid she just built up working out. She then put some cream on it and started massaging it.

I started running my hand through her hair knowing she couldn't feel what was happening with her leg. I was hoping that hoping it would take her mind off her leg if I played with her hair, which everyone loves.
