Prom? (Camren)

Lauren's POV

It's been about two months and I'm out of the hospital and doing pretty good. I still can't walk but I've been working really hard and I think I'm gonna take my first steps today, I really hope so.

I invited Camz to come with me because I want her there to see me take my first step.

It's going to be a very emotional day.

(C) Hey babe, I'm on my way now to pick you up

(L) okay!

Camz soon got here and we made our way to therapy.

"Why are you so quiet?" Camz asked as I was staring out the window. I could feel my hand sweating in hers.

"Ahh j-just nervous for today."

"How come?"

"I just don't want to be disappointed."

"Laur, you won't be disappointed okay. This takes time, you're making progress. Don't let set backs get you down because progress will always come."

"Thank you I needed that." I turned to her and smile as she parked the car.

"I love you okay?"

"I love you too." I leaned in for a passionate kiss, it might have gotten a little bit heated.

"Hahaha lauren come on we're gonna be late."

"Ugh. You owe me."

Camila Shook her head and got out of the car to help me inside.

About and hour later nothing has really happened. We did my stretched, we did my normal routine but we're about the try and take a step.

"Alright Lauren are you ready to try and take a few steps?"

"Always."

My nurse got behind me and helped me stand up so I could grab onto these two bars on either side of me.

"Okay so we're going to try and take your first step okay?"

"Okay."

I tried really hard to take a step, I kept telling my brain to make my leg move and nothing was happening. I was getting really upset. I could see Camz infront of me, she looked defeated as well.

I turned around and whispered into my nurses ear.

"Okay I'm gonna do it now."

She knew what that meant.

She loosened up her grip and I struggled to move.

I look a step and I could hear Camz let out a small cry.

"Oh my god laur you did it!"

I smiled and took another step. The nurse then let go of me and I stood straight up and easily walked over to Camz.

She had the most confused look on her face.

Once I reached her I gave her a kiss and wiped away her tears.

"W-what..."

I didn't let her finish.

"I know you're probably confused as to how I just walked over to you so easily. I've been planning this for a little while once I did take my first step. I decided to hide it from you in order to do this. Camila, I never in a million year would've thought I would fall in love with a fan, I never thought I would go to prom with a fan but I did. I fell so deeply in love with you. You are my world. My everything. I hate spending time away from you and I don't ever want to not be with you. We made a promise to love each other for ever but I want to prove to you that I plan to keep that promise..."

With that I I got down on one knee and pulled out a box. I opened it and Camila instantly started crying.

"Karla Camila Cabello Estrabao, Will you marry me?" Camila started crying harder.

"Omg yes yes! Of course!" Everyone in the room started clapping. I stood up and put the ring on her shaking hand and pulled her in for he most passionate kiss I've ever had.

I could taste our tears but I didn't care. I was so happy. Once we broke apart I pulled her for a hug.

I saw the door to the room
Open and in walked all of our family and friends clapping and wiping away their tears. I was smiling like an absolute idiot.

"Congratulation baby." My mom and dad said as they hugged me.

"Thank you."

"Hoi! I better be a bridesmaid!" Dinah said pulling Camila and I in for a hug. We all just laughed.

"Lauren. Come her for a second." I heard Camila say.

"You planned this whole
Thing?" I smiled.

"Of course. I'm amazed you didn't suspect anything when I asked to talk to your dad alone."

"Omg that's why!? I was wondering a little bit
What it was about!"

I just laughed.

"I love you and plan to forever."

"I will forever love you too." I pulled Camila in for a kiss.

We were on top of the world.
