You sat next to Percy and Rachel by the feet of the Athena Parthenos. You watched quietly as Harley ran around with his Leo beacon in hand. You were in such a deep thought you didn't notice Apollo- or Lester Papadopoulos- sit down next to you until Rachel spoke.

The conversation was light until the topic turned to the Oracles and to missing Meg. Until it came to the new prophecy.

"Tell us about the prophecy you heard in the grove." You said.

Apollo hesitated, but took a shaky breath.

"There once was a god named Apollo
Who plunged in a cave blue and hollow
Upon a three-seater
The bronze fire-eater
Was forced death and madness to swallow."

You were shaking. The bronze fire-eater? You thought. You knew what that had to mean.

Rachel's hand flew to her mouth. "A limerick?"

"I know!" Apollo wailed. "I'm doomed!"

"Wait." Percy's eyes glimmered. "Those lines...Do they mean what I think?"

"I hope so." You let slip.

You start to remember- to imagine what things are going to be like or what it could have been like.

"Harley's beacon." You said.

"He said you gave it a turning adjustment? I guess that's what did the trick." Percy added with a wide smile.

Rachel squinted at the two of you. "What are you guys... Oh. Oh."

You stood up and jogged towards Harley. He was screaming with joy and jumping up and down.

He turned to you and threw himself on you for a happy hug.

That's when you noticed a shape on the horizon.

"Harley! Look!" You shouted, releasing the young demigod.

He screamed once again.

You glanced back at Percy. He had a bright smile on his face.

You looked back at the Celestial bronze creature. Now that it was closer you could make out two human figures. Your heart lurched, but you had known from the beginning: it wasn't meant to be.
