"Chiron, (y/n), and I were talking about this triumvirate thingie... they probably divided America into three parts, with one emperor in charge of their own part. We know Nero is here in New York, so we're thinking this next Oracle is in the second dude's territory. maybe in the middle third of the US." Percy explained.

"Oh, the middle third of the U.S.!" Leo threw his arms out. "piece of torta, then. We'll just search the entire middle of the country!"

Percy relpyed. "Still with the sarcasm."

"Hey, man, I've sailed with the most scalawags on the high seas." You smiled as Leo and Percy high fived.

Rachel wheeled Chiron through the front of the line. 

"I am so pleased to have you back. And you freed Calypso, I see. Well done, and welcome, to both of you!"

You put your head in your hands with a frown. Chrion spread his arms for a hug. However as soon as Leo moved in Chiron's hoof flew from under his blanket nailing Leo right in the gut. 

You snorted as Chiron continued. "Mr. Valdez, If you ever pull a stunt like that again-"

"I got it! I got it!" Leo's hands were holding onto his stomach. Rachel smiled as she wheeled Chiron away.

"Hey Nico!" Leo called. He got up to chat with Nico.

Percy stood up from the picnic table. You slipped your legs from under the table and over the bench. Percy gave you a sad smile.

"Let's talk."

The two of you followed the creek down to the beach in comfortable silence. You sat in the sand facing the ocean.

Percy sat down next to you rubbing his hands over is face.

"What the hell.." He sighed.

You pulled your knees to your chest and rested your head on them.

"I know. I thought we had-" Your voiced cracked as you started to tear up.

Percy put his arm around you.

"Something! I thought we had something!" You exclaimed. 

Percy shook his head. "I thought you did too..."

"What am I supposed to do? Leo- he's got a girl now! I thought that- I was his girl..." You whispered the last part.

You buried your face into your hands as the first tears started to drop. 

"I really like him Percy! I don't know what to do..." You sniffled.

He rubbed your arms. "It's okay. Everything will work out I promise...

Percy left before dinner.

You sat with Rachel when Calypso, Leo, and Apollo joined you (bickering) on the picnic blanket. 

"Guys," Leo directed them, "if we are all gonna be traveling together, lets try to keep it friendly."

"Besides, we were planning to head west right? We gotta get Camp Jupiter get rip on you, Leo. It'll be fun!" You exclaimed.

"Fun?!" Apollo demanded. "The Oracle of Trophonius is supposed to swallow me in death and madness. Even if I survive, my other trails will be fatal."

"Exactly," Leo said. "Fun. I don't know about calling this whole thing Apollo's trials, though. I think we should call it Leo Valdez's Victory Lap World Tour."

Calypso laughed and put her hand in Leo's. You looked away. Apollo was sulking next to Leo.

"Hey,man, don't look so glum we'll find her okay?" Leo reassured him.

"What?" Apollo was brought back.

"Your friend Meg.. We'll find her. Don't worry" You added.

Apollo stayed silent as he stared into the forest. 

"In the morning we'll start getting our supplies together. Then we will be ready to go."

"Hey guys! We've started a bonfire! Sing-along time!" You and Rachel got up and walked ahead of the group to the bonfire.
