synopsis.

isabelle has never done anything wrong in her life on the Ark. she was at the top of all her classes, grades sharper than a knife, and all of her hobbies resolved around reading. she was considered the heart of the Ark, always bringing warmth and serenity to those around her.

so when the chancellor requests Isabelle's presence in his office requesting that she visits the ground with 99 others, she couldn't miss out on an opportunity to see earth for what it really was.

everything she's ever learned about earth was only in books. her imagination wasn't enough to settle the curiosity she continued to have about the what ifs before being born on the Ark.

but her assumptions of earth are far more different than anything she could ever imagine. the dangers lurking in the woods aren't enough to keep her away from exploring further but with the continuous loss of those she loves; she starts to stray from the light and sink into the darkness and there's only one boy that can pull her out of it. before the ark loses their heart song forever.

if you are a previous reader or a new one, i want to welcome you to my story called Isabelle. it's something i created awhile ago with The 100 first started and i managed to write up until the 3rd season before slowly falling off and shoving this fic into the drafts. i've decided to bring it back from the dead because it's genuinely one of my favorites and isabelle is a special OC to me. granted, this story was made years ago (i don't even remember when) and i've tried several times to edit/revamping it before giving up entirely. but now i've finally decided to get back to work and hopefully FINISHING it since i've already gotten so far. this fic was based around the disney movie Beauty And The Beast with similar themes from the plot. i'm still keeping the idea of a modern day Belle but loosely inspired by the movie. i'm switching some elements and adjusting Isabelle's character slightly to my liking. no big severe changes but fixing up what i find to be extremely cringy right about now. my OC faceclaim used to be natalia dyer but i switched it to Madelyn Cline. there's nothing wrong with Natalia, i adore her but i love Madelyn so much so i decided to use her instead. thank you!
