Isabelle's eyes fluttered open the moment the sun started to rise. Her head lifted off from her hands that were tucked under her face before pressing her palms against the drop ship, lifting herself up silently to be sure she didn't wake anyone.

Everyone typically slept in late, but Isabelle could never find the need to sleep in. She was always up around the Ark before her parents and she never needed coffee to keep her going. Just a simple book was a reason she'd wake every morning with happiness.

Isabelle's boots quietly scuffed against the drop ship floor as she walked around people to get to the latter. Some would open one eye at the sudden movements, their brows furrowing when they watched Isabelle make her way down the latter to the first level.

Isabelle made it to the first level, having to step over several people to make it to the door that was still covered by a parachute. Her fingers grasped the fabric, revealing some sun that made others squint their eyes from the sudden brightness before she went outside and the fabric closed behind her.

Isabelle's eyes closed for a short moment as she breathed in the fresh air, the sun lighting up her facial features and the wind brushing her hair back. She took one step off the platform and onto dirt, a small smile spreading across her face. It was amazing not having to wake up to grey walls all around with few windows to look out at the galaxy. Isabelle felt at new being able to be out in the sun after waking up from sleep.

With just one single breath, she marched her way past the half built wall, and traveled only a few paces past some tree's where the sun really shined. When she found herself standing in front a specific tree, one with marks that looked as if knives had been thrown at the bark, she pulled out her own knife from her boot.

It was something Finn had made her the night before, insisting that she keep it on hand in case of emergencies. Of course she took it gratefully, knowing that with the danger lurking everywhere — sooner rather than later, she would need it.

Her finger tips grazed the blade that reflected from the sun light. She lifted her gaze onto the large tree, lifting her thumb then closing her left eye as she tried to find her center. All the other marks were just centered where a human's chest or stomach would be, but she wanted higher for the head.

Her tongue stuck out and ran across her bottom lip before dropping her thumb and raising the hand that held the knife. She kept her eye sight on her target, giving her wrist a simple flick before releasing the knife.

It whipped through the air with a whoosh — the tip of the knife bouncing off the tree and not sticking as it fell to the ground with a small thud. She released a huff, marching her way over to the tree then bending down to retrieve her knife.

"Isn't this a little early for knife skills?"

Isabelle jumped as her back straightened and turned to face the sudden visitor.

Bellamy stood there watching her closely, before flashing a gentle smile on her lips to show he hadn't come to bother her.

She returned the smile, juggling the knife between her hands gently not to cut herself. "I'm a bit of an early bird."

Bellamy nodded, "I can see." He lifted his gaze towards the sky, his eyes briefly squinting past the sun. "It's probably around 7 in the morning."

Isabelle tucked some hair behind her ear and went back to her original stance which was right in front of where Bellamy stood. "Just trying to get some practice in."
