I have been thinking and I now know.

"Callie stop that."

"Callie get off me."

"Callie!"

Callie was clung to my leg.

"I have to get work done, get off me." I tried to pull her off me but she had a strong grip on my pants.

"The one weekend both your parents are busy." I mumble under my breath.

She starts crying.

"Callie." I pick her up and she stops crying. "You spoiled brat." She just looks at me.

I put her down with some toys and start working. She cries from the other room.

I just have to let her cry, I hate when I have to do that.

I'm laying on my bed with Callie throwing random toys at me.

"If you don't stop I'm putting you in your room."

She just lays down and tries to look all innocent.

"Where is your mom?"

Tabitha was supposed to be here an hour ago to pick up Callie.

I pick up my phone, and call Tabitha.

"Hey, sorry I've been in meeting all day. I can get her tonight. I'm working late."

"I can't get anything done, either."

"Look I have to go bye." She hangs up.

I throw my phone across the room.

"I'm going to lose my job."

I look down and Callie is asleep.

I get up and get as much work as I can done before Callie starts crying.

I lay down next to her and she's out.

"I'm never going to get anything done." I mumble to myself as I fall asleep.

I woke up and knew exactly what I was going to do.

I got Callie ready and headed out the door.

I drove to Tabitha's house and knock on the door.

"Hello?" It was a man, a few years younger than me.

"Umm... Is Tabitha here?"

"Why?"

"I-"

"Babe! Who's at the door?" Tabitha yelled.

"Some guy." He responded.

I was starting to feel extremely nervous.

"Who?" T pushed past the guy saw me and froze.

"Working late huh." I snapped turning in my heels.

"Ross wait!" She yelled.

I turned around.

"It's not what it looks like."

"I know we aren't dating but we do have a kid."

"I know, I did work late last night! But then Nick asked for a ride then he was locked out of his house..."

"You want in Callie's life, but yet, you never put forth the effort."

"I am trying!"

"Really? Doesn't look like it!"

"What do you want me to do?"

"Stop leading me on."

"How am I leading you on?"

"The party, you said you loved me. You also started crying when Callie called Denise her mom. I felt bad! I don't anymore, in fact Denise might be her mom, at this rate."

"You chose her!"

"No! I chose you! But you lied to me. I really thought this time would work. At least I know now who I almost married. Man am I glad nothing happened. And to top this day off, I will see you in court."

"For what?!"

"I'm getting full rights on the daughter you don't want."

"No Ross! She's mine!"

"Doesn't look like it." I walked to my car and got in. I drove off and called some people.

"I'm sorry Callie."
