Three Little Words

Chapter 14

I had already taken a shower, brushed my teeth, and put on matching pajamas. Now I was waiting for Aiden to arrive.

While he’s here I plan on asking him to explain everything a bit more, I’m just a bit curious.

From the corner of my eye I see my phone screen wake. The familiar ringtone of Midnight City by M83 starts going off, confirming my suspicions. Since Aiden isn’t here yet I decide to answer it, its Allison.

“Hey sorry I didn’t come back earlier”

“You better be! Everyone thought Aiden had killed you!”. Her shouting at me was expected, I could see why she was upset.

“Well i’m safe and sound at my home now” I paused, hearing the familiar turn of the knob of my balcony door from behind me. Strange, Aiden usually comes through my front door. “Hey, i’ll call you back. Aidens here.”

“Koda W-” I quickly ended the call, throwing my phone onto my bed upon hearing Aiden exactly behind me.

“Sorry Al-” A hard blow to my skull silences me and blurres my vision. I fall to the ground. The person grabs my wrists and ties them tightly, rope digging and burning my skin.

I scream loudly, really loudly.

“Shut up” The person growls. Once again i’m struck. This blow actually setting me into total and complete darkness. All I can hear is my heart wildly pounding in my chest.
