Alice's POV

I didn't have much and neither did the boy before so I had next to nothing to keep me warm.

I just sat myself into the wooden plank floor and started to rummage though my bag to find something to eat.

I found a can of Red kidney beans. I started to peel back the top of the can and pulled out a fork witch I collected up and began to eat way. I didn't notice how hungry I was until I had began to eat,and before long I had eaten everything.

I did have to resist getting more food, my stomach was begging for more but I knew I had to save my supplies.

I decided I needed to get some sleep. I laid out my weapons in front of me, as for easy access, before crawling over to the corner. I was thinking maybe I could curl up against the wall and it would keep me warm, even if it was an exterior wall. I'd be pushed up against my own body, transferring heat around.

I resumed the position, the wall did feel chilly but hopefully my own body would heat it up. God. It's times like this I wish I had watched bear grills, then maybe I'd know a thing or two.

I wonder if he was still alive. Serving off his own survival tips or if he actual died.

I tried to wind my mind down as I tried to go to sleep. I needed my body to rest and gain energy as the next day could be rough.

~~~~DREAM~~~~
"These snakes are venomous" my mother told me as she pointed to an angry looking gray snake with beautiful black detailing "it may look as if you can trust it, but don't, it will bite you and that was poison you" she said "that's what vipers do" she then took my tiny hand and pulled me away to the next tank
"But it's so pretty" I argued
"That's the trap, come on let's go look at tree frogs"
~~~~DREAM OVER~~~~

I woke up. What an odd dream but what an odd world.

I could see though the dirty window sunlight and I knew it was a new start for a new day.

I could die to today

That was the first thought I had, well aside from the dream. It was a thought I'd have every day, if I make it past this one, which on one day I'll be correct in thinking. Wow that's a scary thought.

I began to stand myself up and stretched out my cramp body. I tried not to groan loud as to not attract any unwanted attention.

I then went to my supply back and rummaged though to find something suitable for breakfast. I guess cold beans would do since it was the closest thing to an actual breakfast food.

I peeled open the can and started to drink as I gathered my weapons up and just sorted my self out in general.

I was blocked out the General knowledge that I was now alone, with all who I loved were dead. I just had to think past it to battle on.

Once I finished my breakfast I lifted the bag up and got the knife ready in my hand before slowly making my way to the door. I pressed my ear against the door and listened for even the slightest of sounds but I heard virtually nothing so I decided it was most likely safe for me to leave.

I opened the door and saw nothing except the boy who was here before.

I just walked around it then went to go venture into the new burning world.
