Chapter One : Mikey...
"Samantha!" A familiar voice calls me out. I turn back to see Michael running towards me.
"Hey, Mike!" I greet him back.
"Are you free tonight?" He asks.
"Yeah. Why?"
"Can we go out for dinner?" He's still shy.
"Sure." I smile at him.
"Great. I'll pick you up at 7 pm." He smiles widely.
"Oh, okay. See you later." I say.
"See yah. Bye!" He waves then winks at me, I laugh.
I'm really glad things turn out to be okay right now. Though there's still a wound in my heart, I'm positive it would heal anytime around. With my family and friends beside me, I'm pretty sure I can fully recover.
I finish my class at 5:00 today, and I go straight to my condo unit. I am dressing up and waiting for Michael to fetch me, when I see his car outside our building. I quickly get my bag and put on my shoes, then leave my room.
I see him sitting on of the lobby chairs, looking at his phone. He quickly stands up when he sees me in front of him.
"Let's go." And we walk to his car.
I put on my seatbelt and Michael starts to drive. Mikey has been courting me for a month now. We occasionally go out for lunch or dinner, and sometimes hang out with our friends as well.
I met him about a year and a half ago in school. It was the middle of eleventh grade, when he suddenly transferred to Northwest University. We became friends, and he helped me a lot to move on.
"Sam?"
"Yes?" I am looking out of the window.
"How are things going?" He asks."Well, uh, good. I think. Hanging out with you guys really is a big help."
"Glad to hear that." He looks at me quickly, then smiles before he turns his sight back on the road.
A few more minutes of silence and we finally arrive in front of Glim, a popular hotel in our town.
Michael and I go to the hotel resto and I am surprised he's already reserved a seat for us two. He does not usually do that, though.
"May I have your orders, please?" The tall waiter politely asks.
"Uh, I'd just have steak and a glass of red tea." I say to him.
"Chicken wings and lemonade for me. Also, salad and chips. Thanks." Michael says and we both return the menu.
Michael stares at me.
"What?" I ask out of curiosity.
"You're stunning."
"Stop it. " We both chuckle.
"By the way, have you gotten your schedule for the next sem?" He asks me.
