Flashbacks started to comeback. Was Derrek here for me? Is he trying to get my attention? I need to know. I told Heather and Ally that I was going next door and to come get me if there was a problem. I closed the front door and headed over to Derrek's house. I saw that his car was in the driveway. I knocked on their door loudly so they will answer. I heard footsteps coming to the door. It was Derrek "hey Ellie. Is something wrong?". "Is Aprilia here?" I asked. "No... she's shopping? What's wrong? You're scaring me" he said. "The letter, the roses, the-the picture. Why-why-how?" I stuttered. "Ellie please calm down. I can explain" he said. "Tell me! Why? How did you find me?" I yelled. He sighed "come inside, please. It's freezing". I didn't hesitate to come inside. We both sat on the couch opposite of each other. Derrek looked at me "I didn't know I was going to move next door to you. When you came to the door and told me your name and your fiancé's name, I-I freaked out! I couldn't believe you were next door". "Why now? After all these years, you-you are sending me love notes and flowers. You're married for god sake!" I said. "Aprilia and I aren't really that close. Besides, she works and goes out all the time. There is really never time for us. Remember the dance" Derrek brought you. "Derrek, please" I interrupted. "REMEMBER how I came up to you and told you how I feel ABOUT you. It has never stopped, NEVER. I still love you and I always have. Even that day when we had that fight, even if you slapped me at the dance. I don't care if you're married. I don't care if you have kids. My love for you will never disappear" he said. He walked over to me and placed down his glass of wine. I looked up at him from below. He slowly bent down and pushed my hair behind my ear just like before the dance. He gradually bends down to kiss me. My heart started to beat faster and faster. My mind was telling me no, but my heart was telling me yes. He pressed his fore head against my head till our lips were close. "I-I can't. Not now Derrek" I stuttered. Derrek didn't move. "Please..." he said. Rapidly, my lips pressed against his. Memories flew in my head at the speed of light. His hand was against my face as mine were against his. He started to kiss my neck till he got to my chest. I tried so hard to stop it, but it felt like so good. I missed him so much! He picked me up by the thighs. He then rested me down on the couch till he was on top of me. Soon, it went dark. I woke up with my phone ringing. I picked it up without even seeing who it was "he-hello?". "ELLIE? WHERE ARE YOU? I CAME HOME AND I SEE THE GIRLS ARE HOME ALONE!" Jerry yelled. I opened my eyes and saw that Derrek was next to me. Somehow we were in his bed. Oh no, what have I done. I got up, covering myself while I got my clothes "I'm sorry Jerry! I-I went to the store and I thought that I would be there and back home in under a minute" I lied. I couldn't tell the truth to him. I couldn't tell Jerry that I cheated on him before the wedding. I heard Jerry sigh through the phone "just-just come home". He quickly hung up on me. I saw Derrek looking at me "sorry Ellie... I didn't mean for this to happen". "It's fine... I shouldn't have kissed you back" I said putting on my pants. "If you need me, just call. I'm always home" Derrek said. I nodded and walked back home. The sun was about to set. I opened the door, quietly so Jerry and the kids won't hear me. I locked the door and turned around, but unexpectedly I see Jerry walking up towards me "going to the store? Are you that stupid?" he yelled. "Jerry, the girls will hear us!" I whispered. "No they won't. I told them to stay in their rooms, but you're going off topic, why did you leave them home ALONE? You told me when we had our first kid that you would never leave them out of your sight! How did you get to the store when your car was in the garage? It's like a mile away!" he shouted. "I'm sorry! I-I um... I was-" I tried to think of something fast, but Jerry grabbed me at my arms and pulled me in. He shook me like a rag doll. What has gotten into him? "Where...were...you?" he repeated twice. I was screaming in pain. His fingers were digging into my arm. He suddenly pushed me to the ground "get out of my sight! You're sleeping on the couch until you learn your lesson". He fumed to our bedroom and slammed the door shut. I could feel the vibrations from the house shake. I started to cry in pain on the floor. I could see the marks from when he grabbed me. I tried to roll over, but I felt like a turtle on its back. I grabbed a chair to help me up. I couldn't stay here. I'm afraid Jerry will do something to me in his sleep. I wish I never kissed Derrek, but I wish I did. I hope Jerry doesn't find out that I was next door or he may hurt me worse than he did just now. I went upstairs and gave the girls a kiss goodnight. I grabbed my medication and drove to my mom's house for the night or really until Jerry cools off.

It was late, but I knew that they were probably still awake because of the football game. I saw the lights on and rang the doorbell. I checked my phone and saw that it was 9:50. Usually my parent are sleeping right now because well... when you get older than you like to sleep in earlier than when you are a kid. I heard the locks on the front door unlock. My mom answered the door to see me crying lightly on her doorstep "Ellie? What are doing here so late? Come in, come in its cold". I walked in and sat on the couch with my father. I told them why I'm here. I also told them the mistake I did with my old best friend. They were disappointed, but they were angry with Jerry. No one should EVER touch a woman especially when she's pregnant. I stayed there for the night. I didn't want to be alone in bed so my mom slept in my old bedroom with me.
