It's been about 4 days now. I skipped to this day because well, every day was like a repetition. I still lived with my parents for a few days. Jerry is still upset with me. When I try to call, it goes straight to voicemail. Especially the days he was off. I knew he was trying to ignore me. The girls came to spend the night here because they wanted to see me too. Derrek called me a few times or texted me to see if I was alright. Today is thanksgiving. You may think 'oh thanksgiving is the best cause my family and friends come and visit!' well... no. This day is where my life started to go downhill. Surprises started to spread. Lies started to make people cry. This day is where we started to think why we're here, together.

"Ye-yes, ma'am. I know Jerry would love to pick you up from the airport. How-how about you call him and remind him, if you don't mind. No we just had a minor argument and Jerry and I; you know how about you just call him. Ye-yea ok well love you too Mrs. Wails. See-see you soon, ok. B-bye" I said. I hung up the phone and sat back on my bed, frustrated. That was Jerry's mother. She's a handful! I took a shower and put on some pleasant clothes that the girls brought for me, from the house. I put up my hair and some makeup. I put some black high heels on and walked out of my room. I grabbed two dresses out of the dryer for Heather and Ally. They hate when their clothes are really cold, so we just put them in dryer to warm them up. I put them on both of them and did their hair. They look just like Jerry in a dress. I helped my father get ready and gave him his cane. I got the keys to the car and warmed it up. I got the girl's high chairs out of the garage and strapped them in. The Heather ran out of the house and sat in her seat first. I turn around and I see Ally helping her grandmother out of the house to the car. She's so sweet. I opened the passenger door for my grandfather and helped him in. Finally we all got in and buckled up. It was a quiet ride, but at least Heather cheered up everything by singing Christmas music that played from the radio. We finally got there before Jerry and his family. Luckily I still had the house keys to get inside. My mom and I helped cook dinner as Ally and Heather set the table. My father was taking his pills in the bathroom. I took a lighter and lit the candle sticks on the dining room table. I heard the front door click as soon as I lit the last candle. The door opened and voices started to get louder and louder. It was Jerry's parents fighting again over something stupid. I sighed and put the lighter away. I see Jerry helping get chairs for his parents. I turned around and saw him staring at me. I felt like he was going to start yelling at me, but no, he looked sorry. We all sat down. I went to go sit next to my father, but Jerry's mom told me to sit by my husband. I don't think Jerry told them about our fight a couple days ago. It felt awkward between us. Suddenly, the doorbell rang. I didn't expect anyone else to show up. Oh no! I hope it's not Derrek and his wife coming to visit. I opened the door, but it was Jerry's co-worker Lory. "Uh hi Lory... um what are you doing here?" I asked. "Oh well I thought I could join you... If you don't mind" she requested. Jerry ran up to me and looked at her "sorry it's a family tradition and I hate to-" Jerry said before I interrupted "no-no come on in! We have plenty of food" I inquired. I thought something was going on between both of them. I pulled up a chair for her next to Jerry as I sat on the other side. "Ok let's-" suddenly the doorbell rang again. I got up and saw that there were two people standing there. I opened the door and saw it was Derrek and Aprilia. "Hey! Jerry invited us over and we decided to come" Derrek said. Jerry didn't get up from his chair "hey come on in! We-we got plenty of food". I sighed and allowed them to come in. The dining room had no room left. It felt really claustrophobic. In order it from the end went, my dad to Jerry's mom to Lory to Jerry. Then it was me to Derrek to Aprilia to my mom. Finally, it went to Jerry's dad to Heather to Ally. It's a bit too many, but at least we all know each. We all said what we were thankful for, but then it got to Lory. Before you see what happens, I would like to tell you that Lory is full of herself just like Aprilia. She is very honest and outgoing. She will tell us anything that is on her mind which is probably why she doesn't have a lot of friends. She doesn't care what people think unless it is about her, but that would be another time to tell a story. Lory stood up and raised her glass of water "I want to thank every one of you to invite me over. I know I'm not the best, but I thought it would be a good time to tell Jerry and his family and friends that I'm happy to spend the rest of my life with Jerry and our new bundle of joy". We all went quiet. I stood up, in shock "wait! You-you're pregnant with Jerry's child". "Yes for 5 weeks now... I hope you will love being an Aunt Mrs. Wails" she said. "What is she talking about, mommy?" Heather asked. I looked at her "I'm not Jerry's mother, Lory... I'm his fiancé". "Jerry, you told me you got a divorce years ago?" she said. I looked at Jerry "when was this relationship going on for?". He looked at his plate "How about we just eat Thanksgiving now and forget about this. Please". Aprilia looked at Jerry "hey I hope it makes you feel better that you went the only one who had an affair". "What!" said half of the people at the table. "Aprilia! I told you not to say anything!" Derrek said. "You cheated on my son?" said Jerry's father. "It was one time yesterday!" I yelled. Soon we all started to yell at each other. Heather and Ally started to cry at the table. I started to panic and I put on my shoes and coat then left the house. Jerry and Derrek ran after me. It was snowing really hard. I could barely see. I could hear Derrek and Jerry yelling my name. I turned around and looked at them "how could you just stand there and not do something!". "Sorry honey I-" Jerry said. "No don't you honey me" I yelled. "Well it's not my fault that you slept with your ex-best friend" Jerry yelled. "How?" I asked "you think I'm stupid! I knew you weren't at the store the other day!" Jerry yelled. "It was my fault, Jerry... I was the one who liked her. If I didn't give her a gift, then she probably wouldn't have come over" Derrek said. I looked at both of them and yelled 'stop'. They both stopped talking and looked at me. "Just leave me alone and tell everyone to go home... especially Lory. Why don't you go home with her Jerry? She has your child" I said. I turned around and next thing I remember is Derrek yelling my name from a far.
