It was a quiet evening in the Kingdom of Mycenae, and the rich were telling the servants to serve dinner. While at the palace, a fourteen year old princess by the name of Semele was lounging around, looking at the ancient murals upon the wall. Her older brother, the king by the name of a Greek Mythological hero, Heracles, informed Semele that dinner was being served. "I'm not hungry right now." Semele said, feeling like she has nothing to do. "Well it's going to be cold by the time you get down there later." Heracles said in his normal soft tone. "Ugh, fine." Semele retorted.

They both made their way to the dining hall. Semele pulled a chair out for herself, and pulled in the chair after she sat down. While she was slumped down in the chair, Heracles' Japanese husband, Kiku, asks how her history studies are going. She almost hopped out of her chair. "Awesome! History is my favorite subject!" Semele said, absolutely ecstatic. "Well it's good that you like it." Kiku and Heracles laughed at how silly Semele is.

After an hour of chatting and eating, Semele pushed her plate in front of her. "I'm done." She sighed. One of the maids took the plates from the table. "Can I be excused? I have to get ready for my dance lesson." Semele asks her brother, a huge smile upon her face. "Yes, you may." Heracles waved her off. Jumping out of her seat, Semele ran back up to her room, getting her formal wear on, smiling the whole time. "Are you ready yet?" Kiku called up, because he had to bring her to the dance class. "Almost!" She yelled down the stairs, fixing her dress up a bit. Running down the stairs, Semele met up with Kiku at the bottom. "Ready?" "Yup."

The two walked out the palace. "What made you so interested in dancing?" Kiku asked Semele whilst they were walking. "It just kinda shows how you can feel music, and I was fascinated by that." Semele said, looking up at the blue sky. "Hmm, that does sound fascinating." Kiku commented. They stood in front of the building, and as Kiku bidded Semele goodbye, she ran up the stairs backwards. The instructor greeted Semele as she went over to her dance buddy. "Heya." Semele said behind her friend, which made him jump. "What was that for?!" Semele laughed at her darker skinned friend. "Because its fun to scare you Tecton." Semele smiled, which made Tecton roll his eyes. "Alright everyone, class is starting." The instructor clasped her hands together. They started to do basic moves to warm up, and then started to dance to the song they have to do for a competition. It's pretty important to all of the Mycenaeans, because every year, they went up against Sparta dance team.

People were leaping one way, while others were kicking another. Dancing with beauty and style, the dance class was finished after a few practices, and everyone was exhausted. "Semele, come on!" Kiku said, waving her down at the front steps. She walked over, and they both went back to the palace. Semele twirled across the streets of Mycenae, doing some jumps here and there. Everyone usually stared at the princess, in awe or confusion. Most Mycenaeans don't know Semele is one of the best dancers in their kingdom.

When the two arrived at the palace, Heracles was prepared to inform Kiku and Semele on something very important. "Kiku, Semele." Heracles stopped them. "We were declared war from one of the kingdoms of the Roman Empire." Semele's face turned from a happy smile to a scared frown. "No, no, no, no. This cannot be happening." Semele held her head in her hands. "It's very possible, did you start to get young men into the army?" Kiku asked Heracles, which he nodded. "We must prepare for war men." Heracles called to the men of the palace. Semele went to her room, wanting badly for the war to not happen. She thought about all of the reasons this could have happened, but nothing came to her mind. Heracles was sad to see his younger sister in this state, so he had arranged to let her live at her friend, Xena, house. After Semele was done sulking in her room, Heracles told of the exciting news. She looked a slight bit happier, but still had this depressed feeling. Heracles told her to pack all she needed, and she did so, because her brother is the king, she had to listen. Xena was ecstatic that her friend, a princess at that, would stay with her. Xena invited Semele's other friend, Tecton, over to bid her goodbye before he had to go into the war. "Come on, you have to go." Heracles almost pushed Semele out of the palace, as a chariot took her over to her friend's home.

"Hi." Semele lamented as she walked into Xena's place. "Hi!" Xena cheerfully waved to Semele, Tecton waved as well. Semele hugged her African friend, and patted her shorter Mongolian sister-like friend's head. Tecton hugged Semele back, and Xena smiled at her taller full-blooded Greek friend. "You ready to go off to war?" Semele asked her bisexual friend, Tecton. "I guess, but I'm going to have to train with the other younger men." Tecton shrugged. "That makes sense." Xena commented. "We should do something fun before you go, Tecton." Semele suggests. "Yeah, that sounds nice, then I can be with my friends before I leave to the brutal life of war." Tecton smiled. "Then we should go back to the palace-" "No, we can't." Semele looked confused at Xena. "We can't go back, your brother ordered for you to stay out of the palace." Xena told her, acting as the older sister. "Alright, then we can play some instruments." Semele found a harp in the corner of the room. She strummed the strings, and they danced around. Xena and Tecton were spinning around.
