"Who is that, Grandfather?" The younger twin grandson of Romulus asked his grandfather. "That is Soterios, he was the one who caught Ivano, who was undercover as Orrin. Our only spy." He sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose. "Are you sure he is.. a he?" "What are you trying to say Feliciano?" "Soterios has about the same height, same hair and eye color as the princess-" The elder blinked, and then looked at Soterios. ".. are you trying to say Soterios is Princess Semele?" Feliciano nodded. ".. I don't think that's possible-" "I've heard some females disguise themselves to be in the war-" "Feliciano enough! Make sure the left quadrant is doing alright-" The young prince sighed. His gaze still was on Semele, as she yelled out commands. He sighed happily. "Feliciano!" He jumped from his grandfather yelling at him. "Y-Yes?" "Watch the left quadrant!" He looked over at the quadrant, then at Semele. But switched back after he could feel his grandfather's eyes on him. Semele on the other hand, was doing well with her quadrant, getting help from Belen. "I hope Tecton and Aeton are doing alright.." She muttered. "Hm?" Belen peered over at her. "Do you need something Soterios?" "No, no, I'm fine." She made her voice deeper. "Alright then." He kept commanding. Semele peered across the battlefield, and saw him. Feliciano. The Prince of the Roman kingdom. She sighed deeply, knowing he was a masterpiece of a human. "Someone catch your eye?" Belen looked over at his partner in crime. "..." There was silence from Semele. "Retreat!" Called her brother, Heracles. She had to avert her gaze from the handsome prince, and lead her quadrant back to the barracks, well what was left of it. A few soldiers died from the attack, a few more injured. "Help the injured! Then back to your station!" She called out to her quadrant. "Wow." Belen blinked, looking at his partner. "You're good." ".. Thanks..?" "Your welcome." The tall commander walked off to his bunk. Semele sighed a tad, knowing she'll have to tell him soon enough that she was a female. But it did surprise the princess that nobody but her friends, Tecton and Aeton, knew she was indeed a woman. "..." Silence filled the corridor as she made her way back to her bunk, wonder in her mind. "Hey Se- I mean Soterios!" Tecton waved, almost calling her Semele, instead of her male name. "Hello!" She gave her friend a smile. "Where's Aeton?" "He sprained his ankle, so he's in the medical bunk." "Oh, at least he's not harmed badly.. Or worse-" "Dead, yeah, that's what I said when he told me." He chuckled a tad. "Great minds think alike-" Semele twirled her finger, giggling a bit. "Are you going to the Ares and Athena rituals?" "Tecton you idiot, I'm in the top command, I have to." "But do you-" "Yes I want to-" She rolled her eyes. He just laughed. "Do I have to come?" "I'm dragging you along, so yes." The two laughed more. "Well, let's go-" Semele dragged Tecton off to the ritual areas. It wasn't very big, because they had to move about a lot for war. There was a small statue for each war god. Thankfully, there is only two. The two being Athena, and Ares. "Which one are you going to first?" "Athena, she obviously knows more about tactics than Ares. Ares Just likes bloodshed-" "You have a point-" "Hello." Belen waved to the two. "Who's this?" He asked about Tecton. "Oh Uhm.. This is my childhood friend.. Tecton-" ".. Hi-" "I'm Belen, Soterios' partner in battle." The tallest male gave Tecton a small smile. "Oh.. Uhm.. Okay-" Tecton was a bit intimidated by Belen, but he wasn't that cruel of a guy. "Let's keep going-" Semele averted the awkwardness, and walked towards the makeshift temple. The two males followed, silent. "So, Belen, what are you doing after prayer?" She asked the taller of the two. "I.. I'll probably write a letter. To my family-" "How nice." Smiled Semele. Tecton nodded at this. "What are you going to do?" Belen asked her. "Probably think about Xena-" "Is she your wife?" "No, we are merely dating. I wish she was my wife though." Tecton snorted at this, knowing only Xena and Semele had platonic love for one another. This made Belen look back at him. Tecton made a poker face, looking off at the wall. "Don't worry about him, he sometimes makes jokes to himself." She said quickly, knowing why her good friends was snickering. "Hm, you could say the joke aloud, you know." "Most people don't find them funny." "Hm." Belen went off to a different area of the small statue of Athena. This left Semele and Tecton. "So, what are we going to pray about?" "I have something in mind," Started Semele. "But I don't think you'll agree with what I'm praying for-" "Alright." Tecton left as well. This left the princess all by her lonesome. She bowed to the statue, thinking, 'May this war not be as horrid as the one of the past, let it be short and not take many lives of the nice people of my kingdom.' Then she got up, and bowed again, after placing a small sewing needle of her own on the small table for offerings. "Tecton, are you done?" She called to her friend. He nodded after placing a small drachma on the table. "What a great offering-" Was said in a sarcastic tone. "Haha, very funny." The two went to check on Aeton, who was recovering greatly. "I'll be back in the battlefield before you know it!" The smaller of the two male friends of the princess exclaimed. "Perfect." She offered a smile to him, which he returned. The two then went back to their shared bunker. "..." Now Tecton was silent, this wasn't normal for him to have an empty bed near him. Life is harder than ever in Greece.
