Ink's feet hit the hard wooden floor of his home with a tiny thump as he landed, quickly regaining his balance but never letting go of the crystals around his neck. He walked into his living room and plopped himself down on the couch. Ink sat up straight and pulled the odd necklace off of his neck and held it in his hands, lightly running his fingers over the surface of the crystals. Ink held the crystals up and opened his mouth, a string of odd complete nonsense words coming from his mouth. Ink's hands glew with his rainbow magic and suddenly he gasped as a bright flash of light covered the room. The creator's jaw dropped and tears sprang into his previously vacant eye sockets.
"Huh..? Where am I..?" The taller of the three spoke, yet they all seemed equally confused. Ink practically threw himself towards the three, bringing them all into a big hug, tears cascaded down his cheek bones, but he wasn't sad, no, he was incredibly happy.
"You're alive! You're all alive!" Ink cried.
"M-mom..? What happened..?" PaperJam asked.
"It's not important right now, the only thing that matters is that I have you back!" Ink said, a smile on his face. "Oh I love you so much!" He cried as he brought his family into a hug, Fresh had a look of fake sadness on his face and he chuckled.
"Do I get a hug too?" He grinned.
"Oh, just come here!" PaperJam pulled Fresh into the hug. Everything was good... Ink was happy, and so was his family.

Nightmare growled as he stormed down the hallway.
"Nighty? What's wrong..?" Cross asked, looking up at the furious Nightmare.
"Ink fell asleep! The nerve of him!" Nightmare exclaimed.
"What did you do to him..?" Cross looked up with big eye lights to the other.
"I threw him off the cliff, into the water, he should be dead," Nightmare said with a shrug.
"Why'd you do that?! Now I only have two out of the three!" Cross groaned. "I needed Ink for my art!" He exclaimed.
"What are you doing with the bodies..?" Nightmare asked, raising a non-existent eye brow at the other.
"Uhhh I was cleaning them up and posing them, I wanted to use Ink too since I have Error and their son," Cross said causally, Nightmare sighed.
"What is with you and dead bodies?" He held his face in one hand.
"It's a art form!" Cross declared.
"Whatever," Nightmare grumbled as he shoved Cross out of his way, continuing down the hallway.

"So what happened to us, Inky bro?" Fresh asked.
"Y-you all were k-killed..." Ink mumbled.
"What?! By who?!" Error asked loudly.
"Keep your voice down!" PaperJam hissed at his father.
"C-cross..." Ink told them. "A-and Nightmare too..."
"We have to stop them before they hurt anyone else!" Fresh said.
"Y-yeah... but we've fought Nightmare before, Error, you know it isn't an easy task," Ink paused for a moment. "We were almost killed, now imagine Cross strengthening his power," Ink said, his tone and expression extremely serious now.
"We could attack them when they aren't paying attention," PaperJam suggested.
"Yes, but Nightmare would never let his guard down, Cross would be easy though," Error told them all.
"Is there anything important to Nightmare we could destroy to draw his attention away?" Fresh asked.
"He doesn't bother to get involved with material possessions, nor build friendships of any kind," Error said.
"How about we attack at night, when they're both asleep? We might have a better chance of beating them then," PaperJam said.
"We can try that... But only Error and I will go," Ink told them. "I don't want you to be hurt and you don't have as much experience with fighting Nightmare as us," Ink explained and Error nodded, agreeing with him.
"But Mom-" PaperJam was cut off.
"I want you to stay here with Fresh, you protect him okay?" Ink said, turning towards Fresh.
"Alright, I promise I will," Fresh said,
bowing his head.
"Good, we attack tomorrow at midnight!" Ink declared, raising his fist in the air triumphantly.
