Ink smiled one last time before he let out his last breath, his body going limp.
"Inky, I-I love you too... Ink..? Ink! No!! Wake up!!" Error cried as he shook Ink's limp body. "You can't die!!" He wailed, bringing Ink's slowly disintegrating body close to him. Cross was gone by this point, running off into the depths of the castle with Nightmare's body in his arms. "Please!" He sobbed and cried, yet no matter how true his pleas nor how loud his cries, it fixed nothing. Soon Error was left with nothing but a pile of dust and a tan, paint stained scarf. The sobbing skeleton kept the scarf close to him, not wanting to let go of any part of Ink.

PaperJam still sat on the couch, Fresh drooling on his shoulder. He was starting to get worried, the sun was close to rising and there hadn't been any sign of either of his parents. He prayed that they both were okay, but little to his knowledge his prayers would never be answered. PaperJam sighed as he watched the sun rise from the large window in their living room. The room was bathed in a calm orange light that soon faded as the sun rose higher into the sky, just beyond the horizon to start a new day. PaperJam carefully moved Fresh off of his shoulder and onto a pillow near the arm of the couch before he stood up. He yawned as he went into the kitchen, not wanting to wait in silence for his parents to return. PaperJam found an apple on the counter and picked it up with a shrug, biting into it's crisp red skin. He jumped as he heard the front door slam open, followed by someone's glitched cries, PaperJam froze and dropped the apple, rushing out into the living room. He gasped as he saw his father, his shirt was covered in blood and dust as he held Ink's scarf in his trembling hands.
"Oh no..." PaperJam could only manage to utter two words as he stood there in shock, tears started to flow down his cheekbones, staining them a lighter grey. Error hugged PaperJam tightly as he sobbed, the other shakily brought his arms around him in a hug. "M-mom's d-d-dead..?" He asked fearfully. Error's only response was a harder sob as he kept shaking, not wanting to let go of PaperJam. "Oh god..." He mumbled as more tears fell down his face. Fresh watched horrified from the couch, his eyes wide as tears brim in his eye sockets.

Years had passed, and others continued on with their lives. Error had given up his position of destroyer to PaperJam who had taken up the role of both destroyer and creator. Error was broken, he never parted from Ink's scarf, always wearing it around his neck. Cross had ended up taking his own life not long after Nightmare had been killed. Yet no matter how much time passed, Error would never forget Ink, he would never move on, he felt horrible, wishing every day that it had been him instead.

"Inky..?" Error stood alone as rain poured down over his shoulders. He sighed as he sat down on the wet grass in front of Ink's tombstone. The sky was a dark grey as water fell down and battered the poor old skeleton with harsh winds. Error didn't care about the rain or the wind, the only thing he wanted was his Inky. But as he had slowly learned over the years, Ink wasn't going to come back. He was gone, forever. The light of the multi-verse, extinguished by one's rage. "Inky... I love you... I miss you..." Tears rolled down Error's face, mixing with the water already pouring down his cheekbones. "I won't ever forget you..." Error smiled weakly as he read the inscription on the stone for what must have been the hundredth time. "I wish you were still here, y-you would have loved to meet our grandkids," he kept smiling as tears kept falling down his face. "They're perfect," he said as he traced the words of Ink's name on the stone with one finger. "Y-You know Blueberry and Dream miss you too... they told me to just forget about you... I can't do that..." he sighed. "You don't deserve to be forgotten," he said. "I miss you so much Inky... PJ was as devastated as I was..." he paused. "Why'd you have to leave us...?" He asked the stone in front of him, getting no answer. Error sighed. "I'll be back Inky," He stood up and slowly walked off, his clothes were soaking wet, but he did not care.

Error laid upon a white bed in dull white room, the only things with color were the other objects in the room. PaperJam stood at his side, a saddened smile on his face. Error sighed.
"PJ...?" He asked weakly.
"Y-yes..?" PJ responded, looking down at his father.
"I love you," he sat up and hugged PaperJam.
"I love you too dad," PJ said, followed closely by tears. "P-please don't go," he whimpered, not wanting to let go of his father.
"Don't cry... it'll be okay," he smiled weakly as he rubbed PaperJam's back.
"I don't want you to go!" He kept crying.
"PJ, I've lived long enough... I'll get to see Inky again," he kept the smile on his face as he was set back down on the bed.
"B-but you can't go yet!" PaperJam exclaimed and Error chuckled tiredly.
"Jammy... I'm older than you think... My time is finally up..." He smiled up at PaperJam. "So please don't cry..." He said, he was met with a tight hug. Error weakly hugged the smaller skeleton as well. Error was set back down on the bed once more and opened his mouth as if to say something but he suddenly froze and started shaking as the heart monitor started beeping faster and louder. In a panic PaperJam pressed the red button near the head of the bed. But by the time the doctors had arrived Error had flatlined. They tried their hardest to revive him but their efforts were in vain as they called the time of death. PaperJam sobbed into his hands as he had now lost both of his parents.

Error opened his eyes to see a soft calm white, it wasn't the stiff off white of the hospital, this was nicer, much nicer.
"Error..?" A familiar voice said from behind him, he gasped and spun around quickly, tightly hugging the shorter skeleton.
"Inky!!" He cried happily, Ink laughed and smiled as he wrapped his arms around Error. So thus the two spent their days watching over the multi-verse until they finally and slowly faded away.
