"P-prize?! Everyone I love is dead!" Ink cried.
"Now, now it's not that bad my little puppet," Cross said as he stepped closer to Ink. In a blind panic the smaller skeleton stood up, the chair slamming on the floor as he backed away from the other.
"S-stay away! P-please!" Ink pleaded as he stepped away.
"Why are you so scared of me?" Cross asked as he walked closer to Ink.
"I don't wanna die!" Ink cried out as he fell to his knees and sobbed.
"Aw don't be so sad," Cross paused. "I won't kill you," Cross said sweetly.
"C-can you let me g-go..?" Ink looked up at him with teary eyes.
"Of course not!" Cross laughed as Ink's eye lights flickered out and he fell limp. "The fun has only just begun!"
"Ink...Ink...Ink... Open your eyes," A wispy voice spoke.
"W-what..?" Ink blinked as he looked up. Ink gasped as tear filled his eyes.
"Jammy! Error! Y-you're okay!" Ink rushed forward to hug his family but he just went through them like they were nothing. "W-what's going on?" Ink asked as he gazed at the three ghostly figures.
"We are sorry," PaperJam whispered, lowering his head. "There is a way you can escape, but I'm afraid it is quite difficult," He said.
"How can I save you all?! How can I get you back?!" Ink frantically asked the spirits.
"No.. It's not that simple Inky," Error's wispy figure said. "Oh no..." Error mumbled.
"What?! Oh no what?" Ink panicked.
"You are waking up, just know this, we are with you no matter what. And I love you," Error said as he clanked his skull to Ink's.
"No! I don't want to wake up!" Ink cried.
"We're sorry," They all said as the world turned white.
Ink groaned as he slowly woke up.
"H-huh..?" He mumbled. "N-no! No! I don't want to be here!" Ink cried.
"Aw don't be scared Inky," Cross' voice made Ink screw his eye sockets shut.
"We just want to have some fun with you," A much deeper voice spoke making Ink immediately open his eyes wide with fear.
"P-please have m-mercy N-nightmare," Ink pleaded.
"There's no such thing a mercy," Nightmare said with a smirk. Cross waved to Ink as he left the room, leaving Ink and Nightmare together in the stone room. "So what to do first? A spell to make your bones into goop? Or a one that makes you bleed out all of your magic through your mouth?" Nightmare said as he ran his fingers along the long lines of bottles on the large bookcase. "Or one that turns you into a human so I can rip off each one of your limbs slowly and painfully?" Nightmare suggested, Ink started to cry again. "Aw, why are you crying already? I haven't done anything yet," Nightmare laughed.
"W-why did you do this..?" Ink asked as he pushed his back against the cold stone wall.
"Oh, well Error and you kept getting on my nerves, with you two always messing up our plans and all. And I finally came up with a fun way to torment you three! Although the killing and torture was Cross' idea," Nightmare told Ink.
"Why did you kill them?!" Tears streamed down Ink's cheek bones.
"Meh, I don't know," Nightmare shrugged.
"How can either of you not care this much?!" Ink yelled.
"Ah, keep your temper down or else I might have to use of these on you," Nightmare said as he held up a potion, shaking it lightly, its contents sloshing around inside its bottle. Ink shook in fear as he tried to press himself further against the wall.
"W-what did you do with the b-bodies..?"
"Cross is probably using them as trophies, well not that Fresh one, he was unsalvageable," Nightmare said as he went back to his shelf. Ink just fell to the ground and curled into a ball.
"T-this can't be happening, this can't be real," Ink whispered to himself as he sobbed. "I-I want my family back!" Ink shook as sadness tore through him.
"Aw don't worry, you'll be with them soon enough," Nightmare said as he came over to Ink with a small metal device in his hands. Ink didn't look up as he got closer. "Hey Ink, look up," Nightmare demanded. Ink looked up and gasped.
"No! Get that thing away from me!" Ink screamed. Nightmare forcefully picked Ink up by his scarf and shoved the device onto his chest, right above his soul. It latched its little sharp claws into Ink's shirt and rib cage. Ink screamed in agony as the sharp claws broke through his ribs and sank deep into his soul. Ink gasped and writhed on the cold floor, ripping and clawing at the thing on his chest. "T-t-take it o-off," Ink pleaded, pain filling his voice.
"Mmmm how 'bout nah?" Nightmare laughed triumphantly as he lightly kicked Ink. "The Creator at my mercy? Never thought I would see this day!" Nightmare boasted. Ink whimpered as his eye lights flickered out again, making him fall limp once more.
"Come on Inky!" Error's happy voice spoke.
"I'm coming!" Ink called back as he ran towards his love.
"You ready Inky?" Error asked.
"Of course, this will be so much fun!" Ink smiled as Error took his hand in his own. That day they had fun together, it was perfect.
(Excuse the cringe here please)
Ink gasped as he sat up.
"Where am I now?!" He growled, slightly angry. But this time no ghosts of his family or friends greeted him. Instead he was left alone in the one place he wished he would never have to return to. The anti-void. "W-why here?! I don't want to be here!" Ink screamed, his own voice echoing back at him loudly.
"Shh don't be scared..." A soft voice said as they placed their white hand on his shoulder.
"Who are you..?" Ink asked quietly.
"That isn't important my dear... You must stay determined and save your family and yourself from eternal torture," She said.
"I can save them?!" Ink asked, his demeanor brightening.
"Yes... But you must find all the clues in your dreams... If you don't I fear you shall never wake up again," She told Ink.
So I figured out how to keep this story going, because I really didn't want to let this go and just kill off everyone, tell me if I messed up anything and bye for now!
