Chapter Four.
A distraught Craig stood glum in hallways. He recently just had a talk with the principal after school and so he couldn't meet Ryan, which was the downside of being new in Nelsons High.
He decided to go spend his pocket money in a nearby store. He had in mind a store which sells art materials, since he had an interest in drawing. His lifetime aspiration is to go up to space, and had made endless amounts of diagrams and Tumblr-esqe drawings of galaxies and planets. His favorite planets were Neptune and Venus, and had a large supply of facts fed into his brain about the extraterrestrial.
His classmates had nicknamed him Space Boy. And he didn't seem to mind it overall. The loud exclaims of 'Eh, Space Boy?!'s were slightly frustrating but he always knew how to control his feelings, if control meant hide his feelings then yes, he did. The curly haired boy progressed to the shop, his thin, small and pale hands grasping his bag.
He had always been a bit on the skinny side, and there were reasons which he would not admit to. He just never thought it really relevant, even though it was, it was serious. And so, answering the question in a less vague way about why he never took his jacket off was because he wanted to give the illusion of him being in a healthy state, even though he wasn't.
He was, not that abnormally skinny, but just thin yet fat enough to see visible muscles. He even had an six pack from it. He actually hated it, it reminded him of his past. But surprisingly, his fingernails were always immaculate and clean and his hands, soft. It was the aftermath of his OCD, a serious one that had ranged across a year of battles with his tyrannical mind. Heck, it was so bad that he had to have his hands in bandages because they were so sore.
That was the only thing he was willing to disclose to any of his family, well his uncles, aunts and his cousins. Luckily his parents already knew about it and for about a year and a half he had been going to therapy. The boy entered the store and scavenged for some some new paints and a brushes which had nice bristles and suited his taste. He payed up and left the shop, the bag of the items swinging in between his legs as he walked to the alleyways.
He was being foolish enough to expect Ryan there, waiting for him, but that did not retrain him into doing so. He continued to near the alleyways and as he got closer, he could make out a silhouette of a guy. And then it began more and more clearer that it was Ryan, his brown hair lightly blowing against the wind.
The both stared at each other for a second, until a gust of wind that bustled past broke the silence at it blow Craig's hood off, causing his black adorable curls to show themselves up. Craig self cautiously pulled it up, a light blush brushing his cold cheeks, making them warm. God damnit.
Ryan could only smirk at that cute moment.
"Hey, dude" Craig said, trying to ignore that short incident, whilst kicking a drink can.
"Hey, you into art?" Ryan said gesturing at the translucent bag of art supplies.
"Um, I guess" Craig said, shrugging. Ryan nodded."We should hang out sometime, you know meet up, it'll be fun?" Ryan asked. Craig seemed hesitant but shrugged. Ryan dug his hands in his pockets, looking at the ground below him.
"How about now?" Craig asked, in a slightly lower voice. Ryan looked up, smiling.
"That'll be awesome, where should we go then?" Ryan asked, now grinning. Craig thought for a moment, before making up his mind."Follow me."

The park was any mediocre, normal park, with a pair of swings, a seesaw, a slide and a climbing frame. Ryan had been there before, since he had grown up in this area, but he didn't expect Craig to know this place let alone know how to get there. The sky was pretty dark now, and the stars were soon appearing.
"Can I show er, you something?" Craig asked, sitting on one of the swings. Ryan nodded sitting in the other on opposite.
"What is it-" Craig points at the sky, which is introduced to the blaze of light flying across it. A meteor shower. The shower had covered the dark sky with bright dots of light, and Craig could describe it with only one word: beautiful. Ryan smiles at it, then glanced at the awe struck person next to him, leaned in and kissed him, lightly, on Craig's soft, tender lips.Craig was startled by his sudden gesture and fell of the swing, his eyes widen with terror. Ryan gave out a low chuckle.
"Consider that as a thanks." And with that, Ryan walks away, leaving Craig shocked. Craig watched as Ryan's figure progressed away, giving Craig one last glance, his Cheshire Cat smirk exposed under the nice moonlight.Craig picked himself up, the hint of blush consuming his pale skin. Of course, his only friend would kiss him. He dusts himself off, his head still filled with questions. Craig was overall confused and scared rather than angry. He didn't expect Ryan to ever think of kissing Craig, and Craig was less than experienced in 'romance'. He generally didn't understand why.
But the reason why he was scared was that Ryan might like him. And the fact that he might like Ryan back.
