Chapter Three.

Ryan withstood the ruckus coming from downstairs and lazily walked to the bathroom. Accidentally, he runs the cold water and is immediately shocked by it, causing him to have a slight breakdown. Of course, on a Wednesday he would accidentally turn on the cold water. He gives a slight yelp and turns it to the hot, and is suddenly awake.

He grumbled inaudible words and continued washing himself, amidst the loud noise from Eric and Leone bickering about stuff that wasn't as important than his salient sanity, which was becoming less salient every time his frustrated mood got to him.

He gets dressed, pulling on a blue shirt and brown pants-not really a suitable match, but Ryan was not in a mood to chose something that would suit his aesthetic mind- and pulled on a pair of sneakers, his favorite ones. He quickly rushed downstairs, brushing his hair as well. He then remembers his bag and frantically goes up to collect it as well, now sprinting back down.

His loud breath was becoming distorted every time a anxious thought got to him, but like him withstanding the arguing from his brother and sister, he withstood that to.

The only essentials that he got from them was his lunch, which was placed on the kitchen surface, and as he walked up to collect it, he trips over a pair of black trainers, owned by Eric. Great. He picks himself back up and took his lunch, shouting a goodbye to both of them and heading out.

Ryan's bicycle was his ideal thing of transport and he wasn't going to change that, even if he forgot his helmet. As he made his way to high school, the wind blew his brown hair into a mess that he had spent some time combing vigorously.

He parked his bicycle at the shed once he had entered his high school and sighed. He had just about made it on time. He walked through into the high school and through hallways full of loud bustling crowds of high schoolers, chatting. His hand brushed through his hair and as he made his way to his first period, a force suddenly makes him stumble slightly forwards.

He picks up his posture and turns around, to notice a person, which black parka sprawled on his backside. He extends an assisting hand out and the guy takes it, getting up. He then got a better view at his face and realized it was Craig, his disheveled hair covered with his large hoodie.

Craig blinks.
"Hey, Craig" Ryan said. Craig nods, dusting himself off.
"Do you know where the principal's office is?" Craig asks taking curious glances around.
"Straight down and take a left. Wait why do yo-?" Craig rushes towards the direction that was said before Ryan could finish. Ryan smiled as he watched the raven haired boy quickly pace down the hallways, a few strands of medium length curly black hair escaping from his hood.

Gradually, the hallways began to isolate and as he entered through the door. Already, Miss Thatcher had started the register. He gave a cheeky smile at the teacher as she gave him a look and sat down at his seat. A couple of his classmates looked at him, and he only gave solid look back. Miss Thatcher cleared her throat and ticked Ryan off the register, perching it on her desk.

She was about to say something when the head teacher and Craig, walked in. Craig looked slightly nervous, clutching  his galaxy themed bag anxiously.
"Good morning Sophomores, today a new boy would be joining the school today, who is going to introduce himself" The principal said, looking expectedly at Craig.

"Oh um, yeah. My names Craig Jensen." He says, shrugging. A murmur rippled through the class. Realization hit Ryan in the face. Of course, that was why he had never seen Craig around. Or why he had to go to the principals office.
"So he is going to be in this class, I hope you treat him well" the principal said, giving Craig's shoulder a light pat and turning to make an exit.

"Hello, Craig. I'm your literature teacher, Miss Thatcher. Since we do have extra seats, you can sit wherever you want" Miss Thatcher said. Craig nods, yet Ryan could tell the nerves admitting themselves on his face. Craig slightly hovered around the classroom, before catching the glance of Ryan and spotting the empty chair beside his friend.

He sits down, dropping his bag on the wooden floor and collapsing lightly on the chair. Ryan smiled, welcoming Craig to his new literature seating place. Craig takes his book and immediately concentrates on the lesson that was on. Ryan didn't really understand why he was so into it, since unlike his dark haired friend, he totally was unfocused most of the time.

The monotonous rant about classical books was admitting to be hugely boring at the way Ryan portrayed his bored self. He glanced at Craig who looked right back, and smiled, which Craig unfortunately didn't smile back at. They hardly talked throughout the lesson, but it didn't bother Ryan. He wasn't much of a talker anyway.

"Can I borrow your eraser?" Craig whispered. Ryan nods, pulling out a blue rubber from his front pouch of his bag, handing it to Craig. Craig takes it with a thanks and uses it before giving it back. Ryan placed it on his desk and whispers 'no problem'.

The chilling sensation of Craig's touch, totally caught Ryan off guard, as Craig patted his shoulder to get his attention.
"Hey" Craig said, his hands now moving to his pockets. Ryan had now noticed that Craig had never seen Craig without his parka.

"Hi. You hadn't informed me about you being the new guy in high school?" Ryan says, raising an eyebrow and smirking. Craig shrugged. Ryan withstood a frown. He had realized that Craig was a very closed person, due to the fact that during those three days of knowing him, he only knew his name, favorite color and school. That was it.

"Do you wanna eat lunch with me?" Craig asked.
"Sure." Ryan says. Craig cheeks flushed, which was sadly inevitable in Craig's case. Ryan smiled.

The two teens walked through the hallways, one with the parka the other with a loud smirk. Craig couldn't resist the blushing cheeks, Ryan couldn't resist the pounding of his still beating heart.
