House and Bill

3 months had passed since Yusei and Akiza were married. They were settling into their house nicely and had made a profit from their jobs as professional duelists. They were set to go up against the duelist team from North Academy on June 2, with teammates Jack and Crow as backup in case anything serious occurred to either of them. One day, Yusei noticed a bill on the table and in his head was having a nervous breakdown. But he kept a calm and composed tone and discussed the situation to Akiza. "Honey, we may have to pawn your wedding ring. I know you probably would rather die than part with it, but it seems to me like it's the best option we have." Akiza, however, reacted quite the opposite of what Yusei was thinking. "I understand, Yusei. In fact, I was actually thinking the exact same thing." The next morning, the couple drove on down to the Pawn Shop and signed a contract that went as followed; they were given a 3,000 dollar loan for 1 year. If they could raise that amount from the tournament winnings and /or come up with the money on their own, the ring would be returned no questions asked. On the way back, Yusei got a call from Jack and it was bad news; Carly had somehow ingested a toxic substance that was hitting her bloodstream. Keeping calm, Yusei told Akiza about the message and the two duelists head off on their cycles to Jack's apartment. When they got in, it was a horrifying sight. Carly was throwing up blood into a bowl and her face had lines of it running from her ears. Jack was at an impasse and asked Akiza for support. Akiza agreed and Yusei picked up his cellphone and called 911.
