He sat at the lunch table, listening to you ramble on about how your week has been. You know, he had to say, hanging out with you had been pretty fun. It was nice that he had someone to talk to, to vent to.

You understood him.

And maybe he had even started to...like you, a bit--

He was tore out of his thoughts by your voice.

You rested your hand on your chin, and furrowed your brow's at him.

"Are you even listening?."

He cleared his throat, and gave a nod in response.

You rolled your eyes playfully, and continued speaking.

Only to stop when someone else sat down next to you.

You shot your head to the side, making eye contact with the person.

A boy.

"Hey, Helen!." His voice was cheerful, as he gave a smile to Helen, who sat on the opposite side of the table.

It was Tom, who Helen had been in contact with for quite a few weeks now.

He was planning on introducing the two of you pretty soon, but it seems like that was already being done.

"Who're you--."

Helen cut you off, as your sentence had sounded quite rude.

"(Y/n), this is Tom. My...friend. Tom, this is (Y/n). She's also my...friend." Helen introduced the two of you to each other.

Tom shook your hand, and began to chat you up. Asking you about yourself, whilst you asked him question's as well.

You eventually ended up exchanging phone number's before lunch ended--

And for some reason, this made Helen feel uneasy.

Maybe he was jealous?

Hah...no. He couldn't be jealous...

Could he?

You had already said your goodbye's for the time being, leaving the cafeteria and began venturing down the hallway.

Helen stood from his seat, grabbing his lunch-tray in hand.

Tom did the same, following behind quietly as they both dumped the remaining food into the garbage, dropping their tray's in in a container as well.

"Hey, Helen,"

He turned around to face Tom, a look of question on his face.

"Do you like (Y/n)?."

Helen scoffed, rolling his shoulder's uncomfortably, not being able to utter out a response.

Tom smiled.

"Well, if you do, I would suggest asking her out. It seem's she's totally into you."

Rolling his eye's at Tom, he only gave a nod and then continued on his way.

Part of him couldn't believe that Tom would actually suggest that.

I mean, even if he did like you, and you did like him back, there was no way he was going to ask you out...right?
