It was your casual Saturday, sitting on your couch with your parent's.
Nothing interesting had happened this afternoon, so it was a lot more boring that any other Saturday.
You'd exchanged number with Tom before school the other day, so you had been talking quite a lot, today.
Yet Helen wouldn't answer his phone.
This wasn't unusual. He had a tendancy of reading your messages and not responding to them.
"(Y/n), are you hungry?." Your mom asked, leaning on the back of the couch.
"Oh, no. Not right now."
"Hmm, okay then. I'm still going to make lunch. Sandwiches sound okay?."
Your dad nodded happily, and you gave a shrug
"What's up with you, kiddo?." Your dad asked, looking at you from the corner of his eyes.
You frowned at him. "What do you mean?."
"You're usually...talkative," You gave him a weird look.
He groaned. "I don't know how to explain it, you're just being weird!."
"No I'm not..." You huffed.
"Yeah, you are."
You rolled your eye's at him, and he chuckled.
You returned your attention to the TV, only to notice that he was switching channel's once again.
You swore to God, this was the most indicisive man you had ever met in your life.
The sound of the door knocking loudly caught your attention.
"I'll get it." You muttered aloud.
You climbed from your seat and trudged to the front-door, swinging it open.
You smiled once you saw Helen on the other side.
"Hey, Helen. What's up?." You asked, confused on why he had just randomly shown up.
"Nothing," He responded. "I just wanted to ask you something, but it sound's really stupid now."
"I bet it's not. Tell me."
He hesitated, and I noticed he took in a deep breath. "Do you wanna like go somewhere together?."
"Totally, yeah! When?." You cringed when those word's slipped out of your mouth.
Damn it. You probably seemed too excited.
A small smile placed on his lips, which made you smile as well.
"How about...tomorrow night?."
"That sounds...great!," You agreed. "Do you--do you want to come in?."
"Um, no, actually. I need to get going."
You nodded at him, waving goodbye as he, seemingly, happily dashed from your porch.
You closed the door, a bright smile on your face as you skipped back to the couch
