You were exhaused, emotionally and physically.
Tom had only died a few day's ago, but thing's had only gotten worse.
You missed Tom, and felt horrible for what happened to him.
Now, you had only known Tom for a short period of time, so...you couldn't imagine how Helen felt.
The warm blanket's swaddled you, as you laid in a fetal position.
Your head rested against your soft pillow, and you soon began to struggle to stay awake--
Until you heard tapping against your window.
You were confused.
Who the hell would be tapping on your window?
There could only be one person, right?
You jumped from your bed, and glanced toward's the window, immediately making eye contact with the person you thought it was.
Helen.
You opened it, allowing him to climb in. You closed the window behind him, and turned around to face him.
"What are you doing here so--." You cut yourself off, eyes widening as you noticed the horrid smell that was reeking from him.
Not to mention the red splotches on his clothes...was that blood?!
And, why the hell did he have a mask in his hand?
You paused, giving him a look.
"Helen...what happened? Are you okay?."
He quickly nodded.
"I-I..I'm fine...I just, I have to go." He stuttered, his voice seemed hurried.
"What...? Where do you have to go?."
"I don't know, I just have to leave," He paused, looking down at you. "I don't know how long I'm going to be gone, either--."
"What do you mean...? Helen, what's going on?!."
He seemed to ignore your question.
"I'll come back for you, though! I promise." He gave me a smile.
He dipped downward, your lips pressing together.
It would've felt magical, you thought, if it had happened differently--and not during this whole chaotic fiasco.
He pulled away. "I have to go now...," You could tell he didn't want to.
"Don't forget me."
And just like that, he was gone, too.
