Riley's POV "Good morning Coraline!" I said hugging her "Good morning riles" Cory says very sleepily "Let's go greet our dads!!!!" I exclaim eagerly "Child, wait!" Cory says putting out her arm towards me as if she were asking me to drag her "Ugh! Fine" I say grabbing my sisters hand and dragging her off the bed causing there to be a thud "owwwww" Coraline whined. "You asked for it" I said smirking while dragging her out of her room. "O my god Phil! She already killed her sister" dan said chuckling which caused Cory and I to start giggling phil walks in the hallway to join us. Dan picks me up and carries me downstairs and takes me to the kitchen and sits me down at the table Phil does the same with Cory "oh that was swell. You've done good peasant!" I said to dan "the pleasure is all mine queen Riles" dan says bowing which caused me and dan to laugh.
Cory and I are sat at the table waiting patiently. "It's almost done girls" Phil informs sitting with us "okay thank you daddy!" I chirped. "We really appreciate y'all adopting us. It's barley the first day and I already feel at home" Cory said tearing up which caused me to tear up. "Aww no problem girls. I promise dan and I will take great care of y'all! We won't let anything happen to our precious little flowers" Phil said bringing us in a group hug. "What did I miss?" Dan says walking in chuckling. "Not much" Cory says smiling. I like seeing her happy "What did you make?" I asked. "I made French toast and pancakes!" Dan said putting a plate in front of us while putting whipped cream on top while Phil serves everyone coffee. "Thanks dads" i say happily. "No problem" dan says obviously proud of himself.
Dans POV (oh wow this is new)
The girls finished eating "daddies may Cory and I go to our rooms?" "Yeah that's okay sweetie, you don't have to ask" I say smiling. "Oh okay, thank you both for this amazing breakfast!" Riley chirps sounding very thankful. "No problem girls!" Phil and I said together. Cory and Riley ran upstairs leaving Phil and I alone. "I'm happy we did this Phil" I said putting my hand over Phil's "me too" Phil said smiling

Cory's POV "Immmm bored" I randomly say "Me too" Riley says looking up from her 'fault in our stars' book "How's your bo-" I was cut off by yelling.
"DAN I AM NOT CHEATING!!! I ALREADY TOLD YOU A THOUSAND TIMES I DONT LIKE HIM!!!" Riley looked over to me with a worried expression on her face, I returned the same look. I nodded towards the door so we can hear better. She gets up and follows me out the door.
"YOURE SO IMMATURE TO THINK THAT! I CANT BELIEVE I EVER GOT WITH YOU!!!!!!!!" Dan yells to Phil just like my dad would yell to my mum. I look over to Riley to see her shaking, What do I do?!???? "I-it's okay Riley!" I said tearing up "NOT AGIAN! I DONT WANT IT TO HAPPEN AGAIN! I DONT WANT TO GO BACK!!!!!" Riley screamed Dan came rushing towards the hallway. I thought he was gonna us. But I thought wrong. He just slammed his door and continued arguing with Phil. I bursting out crying. "I'm so stupid" I whisper. I pick up Riley and take her to my room

And lay her on my bed. It started raining hard. "Does Dan and Phil love us?" Riley asks me. "I really don't know" I whimper out. "You wanna watch a movie on my laptop!" I ask Riley trying to lighten up the mood a bit "sure" she says smiling weakly. I walk to Riley's room

To grab my laptop. I was walking back until dan came walk out of his room. "Hey uh wanna go somewhere?" Dan asked me rubbing the back of his neck "no. I wouldn't want to go anywhere with you!" I said bluntly. "What why? What did I do?" Dan sounded concerned. "You really don't know what you did??" I asked still sounding blunt. Dan shook his head. I waked back into my room to give Riley the laptop. "Pick a movie I'm gonna go to the restroom real quick" I said smiling "Okay" she said sounding sadder than earlier
I walked back out to talk to Dan. "Your yelling triggered Riley! She has flashbacks to when our mum and dad used to fight ever time she hears loud arguing!" I say to Dan. "Oh I'm sorry I didn't me to" dan said letting a tear drip. "I thought you were gonna help us but no! You slammed the door on us!!! Obviously not caring?!?!!?" I yell out to dan. "I-I'm sorry I didn't mean to make y'all feel this way!!" Dan said crying while dropping to his knees. "No don't cry I'm sorry, you were probably just angry" I say kneeling while hugging my dad. " I'm a terrible father. It's only been one day!" Dan cries out. "you're not a terrible father you're a great and amazing father" I say trying to cheer him up. "So why were you and Phil arguing?" I asked out of curiosity. "Lets just not talk about it. We made up though" dan says smiling down at me. "Well that's good. You should go apologize to Riley. She's still mad." I say to dan. "Yeah I probably should" dan says following me into my room.
There was a sight that made my smile drop. Riley was cutting her arm. I ran up to her and took the blade out of her hand causing me to cut my finger. "How many cuts did you make?" I asked trying not to cry. "O-only five" she whimpers. "Remember what we said about cutting?" I said looking at my arm. "N-no Cory you don't have to do this!!!" Riley yells. I slit my arm five times causing me to wince at the pain. "Cory!!! No" dan says taking the blade out of my hand and flushing it in the toilet. "Why did y'all do this?" Dan asked with tears falling off his cheeks. "Riley and I told each other that if one of us cuts both of us cuts so we would stop cutting. Cause whatever hurts her, hurts me too" I say bursting out crying. "I-I'm so, so sorry girls!" Dan said bringing us in a hug. "Where's Phil?" Riley squeaked out. "He's at the store buying more food" dan said wiping his tears away. "Oh okay" Riley said. "Let's put some bandages on those cuts and we'll explain to Phil" dan says kissing our heads.
