Soers pov

"WAKE UP BOYS!" I open my eyes, looking beside me to see ho us beside me start to get up and get dressed. I sat up and yawned, cause I didn't sleep a lot last night. Thanks to Daniel beside me who is a night owl. I grab my t-shirt and slip it on and slip my runners on.

My name is Soers Johnson. And yeah I live in a orphanage with over 100 people here. Ya I know it's a lot, but your probably thinking it won't be long to I get adopted. Yeah no, I've been here for 12 years, soon to be 13. I've been here since I was 2 so nothing is new to me here. The food tastes the same and the people never change. No manners, rude and Just plain strange. But others could say that about me as well. Me being the book worm and music nerd I am. Anyway...

I head to the cafeteria when Taylor comes around saying "On your best behavior people! A famous  guy is coming later today and is adopting someone today." I turn around in my seat asking "Who is this person Taylor?" Taylor smiles as he puts his blond hair behind her ear saying "Lin-Manuel Miranda and his wife Vanessa Nadel. This could be your day Soers!?" I shrug saying "I dought it Taylor."

Taylor, a caretaker here is my only friend. She brought be here as a child and has taken care of me since then.

I finish eating as Taylor says to everyone "Just go and do as you usually do. Someone will come get you when it's your time to talk with this famous person."

I sat but my the window, drawing on my old sketch pad when Taylor walks over saying "Your the last one Soers. Good luck!" I smile saying "Thanks Taylor." I put my sketch book aside and slide down the ladder. I head towards the cafeteria where Lin-Manuel Miranda and Vanessa Nadel sat. I walk over as The Lin guy smiles saying "Hey! Sit." I sit across from them as Vanessa says "You must be Soers Johnson. Right?" I node saying "Yep, that's my name." The Lin guy smiles saying "Tell us about yourself?" I think then say "Well, I'm 14 years old, born here in New York. Um..." They smile as Lin says "Well what do you like to do?" I immediately say "I love reading. I think it's a blessing and a curse. Anyway, I like writing stories, and drawing. I draw like 24/7. Oh and I love music. Again it's a blessing and curse" Lin laughs saying "That's awesome Soers! I love music as well, but don't have a artistic talent in my entire body." Vanessa laughs saying "Or a cooking talent either." I laugh saying " I love cooking. We take turns around here in the orphanage." They smile as Taylor walks over saying "Every thing going alright here?" Lin and Vanessa look at each other, smiling. Lin turns his head saying "Thongs are going great! But I have a question? Where are the adoption papers for this kid?" I stare shocked saying "Your going to adopt me?" Vanessa smiles saying "The other ones only cared for video games and parties by the sound of it. But your different Soers. That's why we are adopting you." I smile as Taylor brings over papers for them.

Taylor and I walk a few feet away as Taylor hugs me saying "Congratulations Soers! You finally have a home!" I smile saying "I'm super excited. Thanks Taylor. I'll have to come visit at some point, after I settle in." Taylor smiles saying "That will be awesome! Now go on, I'll see you around." I wave and head over to Lin and Vanessa where he says "Ready to go?" I node saying Yep, defiantly."

We walk outside as Vanessa says "I have to head off to work,l then pick up our other son Sebastion from daycar. But I will see you guys later today." We wave as she gets into a car and drives off. Lin turns to me saying "Our apartment isn't far away from here so we can just walk." I node as we begin to walk down the street.

I stick my hands Into my pockets as I hear Lin hum a song. I smile saying "What song are you humming?" Lin laughs saying "You wouldn't know it." I raise an eyebrow saying "I told you, I'm a music nerd. I will probably know of it." Lin smiles saying "16 tons, from the 60's, my parents loved it." I smile saying "I love that song. It's really good." Lin smiles bigger saying "So, You like drawing?" I node saying "Yep, I love it. Do it everyday." Lin laughs saying "Like me and writing. I write non stop!" I laugh saying under my breath "Why do you write like your running out of time..." Lin smiles at me muttering that. I shrug saying "What? I'm guilty of liking the musical you wrote. Sue me!" Lin bursts our laughing saying "Oh your so going to fit in this family!"
