The next couple of weeks are mostly unneventful, athough what I do notice is that my skin has changed. It didn't turn into the deep bronze of other werewolves. It changed to a golden honey color, and I didnt get buffed like the other werewolves, but you can see the muscles under my skin. I am surprisingly strong for my size. I am at Jakes house alot, mostly just to avoid Charlie, though. It's going to be hard to keep this from him, since I live with him. Especially with all the changes that happened to me. My skin is darker, more muscles, hotter temprature, and my hair is shinier.
My birthday is in 3 weeks, and it's still hard to think about, but it's okay, because since I turned into a werewolf the pain is fading, and vampires seem more like the enemie more each day, and when I look back onto my life with them, I see how bad they realy were. I'm glad though, because now I can forget about them and move on with my life. Everybody is realy cool about this and I'm getting the hang of it. I've only ripped out of my closes 5 times, witch I'm told is good for a young werewolf. Paul did at least once a day for a month, sometimes twice.
Jacob walks into the room.
"What took myou so long?" I ask.
"Nothing just this," he says as he sits down next to me and pulls out a neatly wrapped present.
"You know I don't like gifts," I moan as he sits in my lap. I presently stand up, letting it fall onto the floor.
"Oh come on," he says as he picks it back up, " you don't even know what it is yet."
"I don't care, I don't like any presents," I respond, laughing.
"Just open it, or I will," he pleads.
"Oh, whatever," I say, taking it from his hands . I tear the wrapping paper off, grumbling, and opens the box. Oh. Inside the box sits an expertly woven bracelet, woven of wolfy earthy colors. In the middle hangs a finely carved wolf, with expert detail, looking perfectly like my favorite wolf. I'm speechless for a moment.
"Jake, it's beautiful!" I say emotional, "did you make it?"
"Just the wolf," he responds lightly, "could have never made that brecelet. It's an anciet Quilet promise bracelet." I'm not sure, with his dark skin, but I think he blushes. Of course, this make me blush too.
"It's perfect, so beautiful, you realy didn't have to do this for me!" I say, and sit back down on his couch, next to him. For some reason this has realy moved me.
"It was nothing," he replies, gruff, "just my way of telling you I'll never leave," he turns bitter, "like He did." I suddenly feel overwhelmed and lean against him. Suddenly I know this was what is supposed to happen, the natural progression of the universe. I look up at him, and he starts leaning down towards me. I know what is about to happen, and I don't hesitate. I lean up and our lips meet, and everything is perfect. We kiss for a moment, then Jake moves back, looking amazed.
"Bella..." he starts, but I cut him off.
"It's okay now, Jake, because I know this was supposed to happen. I'm okay now. You just gave me that last push to show me where I'm realy supposed to be." He looks emotional, and then his lips come down on mine and we are kissing again.
The next couple of months are filled with so much happiness, I want to explode. All my pain is gone now, and I can truly see things for how they were. I see just how bad the bloodsuckers realy were, and I know why werewolves feel such an aversion to them. Everything is perfect again, untill one day, when they tries to ruin my life once more
*Authers Note* Sorry this chapter is so short, I will try to update more in each chapter, i just feel like im writing too much and people will get bored. Sorry!
