Arriving at the station she noticed two kids sitting on the steps. One was in breeches and a shirt and the other has a ginger plait and wore an aproned dress. They were both scrawny and thin but to the woman it didn't matter in the slightest. She noticed as the boy tightened his hold on the girl as she turned her face into his chest. The woman breathed in deeply and straightened her coat. This was the moment she would meet her daughter and adopted son.But as she watched and prepared to go up the steps they came down them bumping into her on the way.
"Sorry ma'am.Weve had a rough day. Please excuse us.."
They hurried away an arm wrapped around the girl, who was leaning into him.

The next day came but this time the woman was prepared. She approached the children quickly.
"Hello."she said softly. The kids eyed her nervously.
"Who are you?"asked Victor"If you want to hurt either of us go AWAY!"
The woman looked shocked.
"I would never hurt you two!Give your mamma a hug!"the woman leaned in for a hug but the kids edged away,as if she was some sort of evil person.
"How do we know that you're our mommy?"Asked Victor in a quavering voice.
"..."The woman was lost for words.Shed thought that because they were children they would simply fall into her arms ,for she believed them to be love deprived. But apparently they had enough love with each other to fulfill each other's needs.
"Are you two lovers?"she enquired persistently.
"No."Victor replied shortly. This woman was really getting on his nerves and she needed to leave.
"Can you please leave? You are upsetting my friend!"
He pointed in the direction he wanted her to go-away from them-when the girl tugged on his jacket. He leaned down and the girl whispered in his ear.Rolling his eyes at her with a flick of his hand he summoned the woman back again.
"My friend would like to know if you know anything at all about this."
He brought out Felicies music box."This is something I have fixed many a time-"
"Liar"muttered the girl although she hid it in a cough. The boy pointedly ignored this comment and continued.
"And it has enormous value to her."
The woman gasped as he brought out the box.Her hands had flown to her mouth and she was trying not to  cry.The box was also sentimental to her and she knew who it belonged to....
