Chapter 6: He Sucks At Mario Kart; Dave

yessss!!!! i convinced him to come over!! oh my god oh my god oh my god! he's so adorable when he's mad! awwwwww. 

"Alright, Karkles. I'll drive you over to my place. Just warnin' ya, Bro's got his weird smuppet things laying around everywhere. You have been warned."

~~~~~WOOOOO YET ANOTHER SPOOKY TIMESKIP!!! DAVE AND KARKAT SAID NOTHING IN DAVE'S CAR!! THEY'RE AT THE STRIDERS' NOW WOOOOOOOO~~~~~~~~

KARKAT'S POV

The first thing I noticed was Dave's 'Bro' sitting on their couch in nothing but a Speedo. YECH!! 

Dave's POV

I saw Bro in his underwear. Fuuuuck. Bro Y U do this 2 meee!!???

"BRO!! Get some fucking clothes on!" I yelled at him. 

We quickly walked towards my room, marked with a set of turntables to signify my nack for creating ill beats. I plopped down onto my fuzzy broken record blanket, while Karkat sat cross legged on my red carpet.

"Sooooo... Are we going to sit in awkward silence for the rest of the afternoon, or are we acutally going to play some games. Or we could make some sweet tunes together." I suggested. 

"Fuck no! I hate your music! I'd rather read Nepeta's fanfiction about Equius and a fucking horse!" He yelled back

"Ohhh, so you do know people at Burb." I noted

"Well, yeah, I lived here before Kankri's and my parents died. I know pretty much everybody." He explained. "I kept in touch with a few of them, got their chumHandles and such." 

"Okaaay... So, what game y'wanna play, Karks? I a WiiU and a Wii and an XBox or whatever." 

I'll probably beat him at everything tho. and it'll be adorable when he gets so mad! I thought to myself God, I really need to get my feelings in check. Can't let Karkles know.

"Y'GOT  MARIO KART? I'M AWESOME AT THAT." He actually fucking grinned, and even though it looked a little evil, it was still fucking adorable. 

"Hell yeah, I got Mario Kart! What idiot doesn't?" I grinned right back at him

I started rummaging around my bedroom for controllers and as I tossed one to him he got the game set up. 

"Hey, KitKat, how 'bout we make this a bit more interesting?" I suggested to him, "I'll make you a bet. If I win a Grand Prix, you have to whatever I say for the rest of the day today and tomorrow. And vise versa." 

"Throw in you stop calling me stupid nicknames and we got a deal." he held out his hand, and as I shook it I said: 

"Deal. But I'll warn ya, I am the Mario Kart Master." 

He picked Daisy, so I obviously picked Luigi. 

"Dude, Mario's everyone's favorite. Why Luigi?" He asked

"Well, y'see Karks, Mario's gal is Peach; and Luigi and Daisy are a thing. Can't just be Mario cuz everyone loves him.

"Luigi loves Daisy, and I love you." I blurted that out, and felt my face heat up.

"Y-YEAH, WHATEVER." I noticed that Karkat was blushing a little bit too, which just made him cuter.

Three races later, I had won two and he won one. 

"I will beat the shit out of you Luigi! I will WIIIIN!!" He yelled the last word as he crossed the finish line of Rainbow Road, the hardest track in this game's existence. 

"Ah, hold up, we still gotta race one more, since now we're tied at two two." I pushed Karkat gently back down onto the carpet.

"UGH. FINE. BUT ONLY *ONE* MORE." 

I picked the easiest track ever, and a 3 laps later, I threw my hands up in victory. 

"GOG DAMNIT!! I WAS SO CLOSE!! *sigh* Fine, what do you want me to do?" He sounded exasperated, so I eased the punishment down from what I had in mind. 

"You have to watch the scariest movie that I own with me. You'll sit up here on the bed with me, and if you chicken out or scream or anything, you have to kiss me."
