Calm & Calamity | A DaveKat, DirkJake, and RoseMary fanfic

Chapter 7

I am going to stop making titles for my chapters; I just want to focus my brainpower on the adorableness of DaveKat, RoseMary, and DirkJake. (Sorry! No more chapter title spoilers!) Also, it's gonna be in 3rd person from now on. ~~Cali_Myow2~~  

HOLD UP.  HE JUST SAID WHAT NOW??! K-KISS HIM? PSHHH. WHATEVER. I CAN LIVE THROUGH ONE OF HIS SHITTY HORROR MOVIES. 

"FINE. WHATEVER. SURE." Karkat said looking away. He felt his face heat up, and tried to clam himself down. 

NO. YOU HATE HIM. HE'S AN ASSHOLE. WHY AM I BLUSHING??? FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUUUUUCK!!!! 

Alrighty then. We'll watch the new Alien movie; Alien: Covenant." Dave said with the trademark Strider smirk plastered on his face. Although it looked less like a smirk and more like a nervous grin. 

"Okay, but I'll add a twist to the bet. If you chicken out, you have to take your 'shades' off and keep them off until I say." Karkat saw Dave put his hands on his shades as though to protect them from Karkat. 

"Alright. Deal. Of course, I've seen this already, so I won't chicken out." Dave still had his hands holding his shades to his face as he said it though. 

In actuality, Dave had only seen previews because Bro bought it the day before and Dave had Karkat and homeswork after school; so he hasn't watched it.

Karkat bear crawled onto Dave's bed, (a.k.a. Dave's superfluffy red broken record blanket,) and sat as far away from Dave as possible. 

"Nope. You have to sit right here." Dave motioned to his lap.

"As if I'd fucking do that! I'm sitting right here and there's no way to change my mind." Karkat replied, crossing his arms.

45 minutes L8r: Climax of the movie

Karkat had snuggled up to Dave about 15 minutes in, and Dave noticed that he was already shaking. The main character ~~(I have no clue about any of the Alien movies; im sorry)~~ was walking through the empty hallways, looking for the Alien. As *Character A* turned the corner, BAM! Alien! 

Karkat jumped a mile and screamed, hugging Dave and burying his face in Dave's chest. Dave hugged Karkat's shoulder, mentally screaming, (cuz Striders don't flip out; at least not aloud), paused the movie and gently said:

"Okay, you've obviously chickened out; we don't have to watch anymore." 

"And I'll let you have your end of the bet too cuz th-that actually.........."

"scared me." 

WHOA FUCK. THE FABULOUS DAVE STRIDER ACTUALLY WAS SCARED?? 

Dave slowly put his hands up to his face, and started taking his shades off. Dave and Karkat were so intent on sot getting scared by Alien that the boys didn't realize a thunderstorm had started outside. Lighning flashed, thunder boomed, and Karkat jumped into Dave's arms. The same time, the power shut off in the Striders' house. 

"AHH!! DAVE.... DAVE HELP MEEEE!!!" Karkat was crying into Dave's chest and Dave quickly took off his shades and tossed them, now that the power was out and it was dark, and hugged Karkat tightly. 

Shoosh, shoosh. it's gonna be fine. im here im here." Dave cooed, whispering sweet nothings to Karkat as he cried and cried. 

"A kiss will make it all better, I promise. And It's dark, so you won't see it." 

"PROMISE?" Karkat looked up at Dave, his cheeks stained with tears. 

"promise" 

Karkat slowly moved closer and closer to Dave, annndddddd....................................................

~~HA HA!! Cliffhanger #2! I love this. SUSPENSE! (I'll add the next chapter in a few minutes, don't worry.~~~
