When the darkness faded, Luke found himself looking at the Jedi temple. Although he did not actually know it was, and he didn't know where he was either. Luke looked around at the tall buildings all around him. But the Force was urging him to enter the building. So he turned back to the temple and carefully made his way up the great stone steps.
At the end of the steps, two people were standing guard. Luke would have placed them as storm troopers, but they didn't move to attack him and he also noticed that their armor was slightly different. They didn't try to stop him when he passed them, so Luke entered the temple.
Inside were many people walking down the hallways, some of them nodded to him in greetings, others were focused on datapads. There were also quite a few children, from seven to fifteen years old Luke guessed. And after a moment, he noticed that each of the adults - as well as some of the older kids - were carrying at least one lightsaber.
Where am I!? Luke thought. He didn't know of any place in the galaxy where there were still this many Jedi!
"Your master ask, you should. Answer your questions, she will." The voice startled Luke and he frantically searched for the speaker. Soon his eyes found the small green creature and the kid he was talking to. Then Yoda went off down the hallway and after a moments thought, Luke quietly followed. Something was definitely off here, and he suspected that it wouldn't help to attract attention by calling out to the master, but he had to speak to someone. So he followed Yoda through the temple, until the Jedi master entered a chamber and Luke stopped outside. So far, Yoda had shown no sign of noticing him, but that didn't really mean anything.
"Ok, nothing to worry about, it's just Yoda," Luke told himself. "You were going to see him anyway, weren't you?" So he knocked on the door and waited for the Jedi master to respond.
"Enter you may," Yoda called from inside and the door opened for Luke. He found Yoda in a meditating position on a cushion. When the master didn't move, Luke joined him on one of the many other cushions.
"Um, Master Yoda," Luke said carefully.
"Troubled you are, young one, hm?" Yoda said.
"Yes, Master Yoda. What is this place?"
"Never to the Jedi Temple have you been?" Yoda said curiously.
"N-no," Luke responded, taken aback. Yoda was acting like he'd never even met Luke. Then a crazy thought came to his mind: "Master, what year is it?"
"The year of 3258, according to the Lothal Calendar, it is," Yoda answered.
But that was over 20 years ago! Luke realised horrified. Then he noticed that Yoda must have said something more, because he was looking at him with anticipation. "I'm sorry Master, what did you say?"
"Asked you your name, I have."
"Oh, I'm Luke," Luke said, "Luke Skywalker."
"Skywalker," Yoda repeated. "Not give that name to anyone you should. And for new here you are, find someone to stay with, for you, I will. Have someone in mind I do."
Luke was still too bewildered from everything to say anything. But he didn't have to, Yoda already spoke on.
"Arrive soon they should. Send them a message I will." And so Luke was left alone to sort everything he had just heared. Time travel, he thought. That was impossible! But there was no denying it. And why had Yoda reacted so strangely to his name, did the Jedi Master know his parents? Well his father had been a Jedi. At the thought of his father Luke unwillingly thought of Vader as well. But no, it couldn't be, there was simply no way that Vader was his father. And what about Leia and Han and Artoo? Was he still there in the future? Luke sighed, there was so much he had to figure out.
