You stared at Bard with wide, nervous eyes as he smiled at you from the water, patiently waiting. "I can't believe you talked me into this."

"You were more than eager when I was describing the place." He laughed and beckoned you in. "Come on, it is only us here, I promise."

"Can't I just sit on the edge?" You toed the edge of the water, watching as the ripples moved along for a moment before looking back at him, finding him looking amused.

"Y/N, jump in before I pick you up and throw you in."

You shot him a glare. "You wouldn't dare Bard."

He crept forward in the water, a grin on his face, making sure it was clear that he wouldn't hesitate.

"Alright, alright!" You said quickly and grumbled as you kicked off your clothes, leaving you bare to the warm air of the cave. Shuddering, you hurried into the water, trying to cover your modesty.

Bard laughs. "It's nothing I haven't seen before."

You sink into the water. "So?"

He shakes his head. "I wanted you to relax, not to worry about who would see us. No one else knows about it here, I promise you we won't be disturbed."

You sigh and hug yourself a little in the water. "I'm sorry Bard. I'm spoiling our day."

"Never." He swims over to you, his arms wrapping around you, his gaze gentle, his voice going quiet. "Now, just relax, please Y/N."

You let him pull you deeper into the water, slowly relaxing against him. Your eyes travelled up the waterfall spilling through the roof of the cave, the air shimmering with gold around it, a small rainbow curving over the swell of the rocks as the water dipped into the pool. "It's beautiful."

Bard places a kiss on your shoulder. "I told you you'd like it."

You hum in agreement, taking in more details of the cave. "I'd love to bring my paints here if I could. I think it would be perfect."

"You see the world in a way no one else does." Bard places more kisses along your shoulder. "It's amazing."

You giggle, his hair tickling you. "Well, I certainly saw you."

He gives a playful growl and nips your shoulder, causing you to squeal and try and squirm away. "I'm pretty sure I saw you first, not that you've painted me yet."

"Not that you're aware of." You laugh as he seemed to think of this for a moment. "And no, I have no intention of showing you."

"I'm sure I can change your mind." He nuzzled against your ear. "And probably inspire a few more ideas."

You pull away, smiling at him. "Maybe, but you're going to have to try a little harder than that. I'm not so easily swayed just by a pretty picture Bard."

He frowns for a moment before you giggle, swimming away from him before he caught on, quickly following after you.

Laughter soon filled the cave, the two of you the only ones to hear it, but that was all that mattered.
