12. Presumptions

Snow and charming woke up the next morning and went into the kitchen to make breakfast,
"Are those Killian's shoes?" Snow asked pointing to the leather Chelsea boots by the door
"Ye but he isn't in the guest room," charming frowned
"Maybe he went home?"
"Without his shoes?" David gave her a 'don't be stupid' face "Emma said she didn't sleep with him"
"Maybe she hadn't then but she has now," she suggested
"I have a feeling they are," David frowned at Emma's door and walked over to it
Snow followed closely behind
"David don't snoop!" Snow begged pulling his arm
"I'm not.... I'm just curious," he shrugged.

Slowly, he opened the door and they both popped their heads round the door. They saw Killian asleep spooning Emma who was holding his hand tight against her.

David gasped while snow smiled, finally seeing her best friend look truly happy.
"Liars!" David whisper shouted
Snow swiftly dragged him out the room
"Just because they were together doesn't mean they had sex," snow told him
"No your right they just got really cold and needed warmth..." David laughed sarcastically
"Emma's smart," snow reminded David
"Not when it comes to her heart she isn't!" David snapped "she's always pushed people away so she doesn't know what it feels like to be in love!"
"Well no! Nobody does until they've tried it!" Snow retaliated
"She's been alone snow..."
"She isn't anymore!" Snow snapped and stormed into the kitchen to make some breakfast.

"I was just saying that we need to watch him like a hawk!" He explained walking behind her and wrapping his arms around her waist while she mixed some eggs
"Stop being so dramatic!" Snow rolled her eyes and pushed him off while she went to fry the eggs
"I'm not being dramatic I'm being realistic!"
Snow just rolled her eyes in reply and carried on making breakfast.

Emma woke up ten minutes later and found that she'd actually slept amazingly last night. She usually finds it hard to go to sleep because growing up she never used to incase something happened while she was asleep. She wiggled a little and then remembered that Killian was next to her, well right now he was behind her. She should probably push him off but it felt to nice.

Killian stirred a little later cuddling into her harder placing a few tiny kisses on the back of her neck. Emma's giggles woke him up.

He suddenly realised what he was doing and sat up straight,
"Sorry Swan," he apologised rubbing behind his ear nervously
"You do that a lot," Emma noted
"Apologise?"
"No, you rub behind your ear when your nervous," she smiled up at him.
Killian's stomach was currently doing rollypollys as he registered that Emma noticed something about him and couldn't help but wish he'd wake up this way every morning, except maybe he'd carry on kissing her.

"I smell food!" Emma laughed rolling across him and running to the door, he laughed at her cuteness and then followed her
"Morning," snow smiled cheerfully "I made enough for everyone... including your guest," she giggled looking at Killian
"Thanks lass," he blushed furiously and then sat at the table beside Emma
"So you guys fixed it then?" Emma asked grabbing some eggs and bacon and putting them on her plate
"Mhm... and so did you two I take it?" David asked looking from one of them to the other.
"What was there to fix?" Emma wondered taking a sip of her coffee
"You guys just seemed a bit off yesterday and yet he woke up in your bed... again," David insinuated.

Killian was not liking his judgmental tone but he let it slide,
"Technically the first time I wasn't in her bed I was in a fort," he added
"So you lied then?" David placed down his folk and started Killian in the eyes
"About what?" Killian did the same
"Sleeping with her?!" He spat
"David!" Snow gasped
"What? I'm just saying that he's been here like a week and he's already gotten in Emma's pants!"
"David!" Emma shouted "you need to calm the hell down and shut the hell up, your opinion of me obviously isn't a very high one but I'm not going to sit here and defend myself when your supposed to be my friend! Last time I checked it wasn't against the law to have a sleep over, and August was here the first night anyway so who the hell do you think I am?" Emma spat, standing up and storming off to her room.
"Emma!" David shouted walking after her but her door was locked.
"David you need to calm down now!" Snow shouted at him and Killian felt really uncomfortable.
