This story is written in the "choose your own adventure" or "story maze" format, which makes it as much of a game as an actual story. All you need to play is a device with a decent amount of battery life left with a working clock. With that in mind, please don't post the answers in the comments or elsewhere - leaky comments will be promptly deleted and mopped up.

Each chapter ends with either a conclusion or a code word used to find the next part of the story. These code words were chosen using a random word generator and have been sorted in alphabetical order to minimize cheating. That being said, if you try to read the chapters in order, you're going to need some painkillers or something. It's mildly nauseating to travel across timelines that way. The first two chapters will always be the same, so if you get lost or hit a dead end you can always come back here to start over.

If you find any errors, issues, inconsistencies, or monsters in the maze, please leave me a comment to let me know. I'll be around for a few hours to fix any problems that arise.

Finally, if you want to see more of these mini-stories or would like to see one on a much larger scale (Nooch help me...), leave a comment down below to let me know. Feel free to give this format a try, but keep in mind that it takes easily three times longer than you'd expect to finish the damn thing.
